If they were taking a stand for the Robertsons and against A&E, then the press release should have said so instead of the weasel words they used. Plus their subsequent press release should have also referenced what their true intent was in removing the merchandise.

They've gotten flack in the past for taking a stand so perhaps tried to do it under the radar this time. I agree the second release should've noted what their original intentions were, given the response to the first. Obviously, few noted that they kept Duck Commander items - the ones that don't make A&E one penny.

Only products that had Phil Robertson on them were removed. They continued to sell Duck Commander and they continued to sell Duck Dynasty products.

They tried to put Phil products on "hiatus" and play both sides of the fence.

Numerous FR posts detailed this, including FB posts from employees that provided anecdotal accounts that "they" were responsible for moving Phil Robertson key chains and drinking cups, and shirts that read "Happy, Happy, Happy."
