The countdown is on. On October 1st, provisions of the Affordable Care Act will take effect. Not only does the national health care program greatly increase the size and scope of government but, it will hurt Americans economically. Despite the federal governments attempts at explaining the bill, Americans are still left in the dark, only slightly prepared for the astronomical monetary costs that will accompany it.
You ask, “Will my insurance costs rise?” Absolutely. You ask, “Is Obamacare going to hurt my small business?” I hate to be the bearer of bad news but yes. Obamacare requires that businesses with fifty or more employees provide health care for any employee working more than thirty hours a week. For many businesses, the solution is to cut full time employees down to part time, leaving some employees searching for a second job in an already damaged economy. Obamacare has left other businesses at a hiring standstill because they simply can’t afford the insurance for any new employees. Based on recent commentary, it’s obvious that the Affordable Care Act will seriously hinder economic growth, which is why, if elected, I will not vote to fund a national health care bill while I’m in office.
It is important to stand with our true fellow conservatives and Tea Partiers as they battle to defund Obamacare. I know I am.
