But is this stuff true?
He's running 24/7 radio and TV ads EVERY COMMERCIAL BREAK that do nothing but TRASH Bevin - accusing him of all kinds of evil. Tax evasion, bailouts, lying about his family's business, siding with Liberals (clearly McConnelll is projecting there). It's non-stop. "Bailout Bevin is no Kentucky Conservative" is the main line. But the ads do not discuss any of McConnell's "achievements". You recognize it's a McConnell ad only when you hear him "approve" the message.
Along with that, is a now-daily barrage of direct-mail from McConnell attacking Bevin. One received today is a Wanted Poster featuring Bevin as an evil lying snake oil salesman. The only way you would know that direct mail piece is an ad for McConnell is if you look at the return address. Last week it was a photoshop dictionary page which listed under "Fraud" ; Matt Bevin and went on to describe all his 'faults' as a human being.
It's amazing to me that the so-called 'minority leader' has such an ability to fight, trash and attack his Conservative opponents and base - but nary a wrinkled nose at Obama or the Leftist agenda he supposedly opposes "every step of the way".
I find it AMAZING how congenial and accommodating McConnell is of Obama and the Democrat Party - even going so far as to pressure GOP members to remove their names from a letter Mike Lee is drafting to Reid to defund ObamaCare in the Continuing Resolution fight upcoming. At the same time, this same McConnell has been silent on Obama and the MarxoFascist agenda.
I'm so pissed off at McConnellf or insulting all our intelligence and his lying attack-ad crap, I blogged on the failed post turtle minority leader.
Mitch McConnell Proves Its Tea Party Conservatives He Will War Against Not Obama or Democrats
Mitch McConnells Incredible Lack of Leadership Except When Making Deals To Besmirch Conservatives
As I understand the company bailout thing, his company had a fire, in an attempt to rebuild, he went to his senator (both democrats) to get a government loan ($200,000). And the company rebuilt the factory. Hardly a taxpayer bailout. More like a loan to save a local company and local jobs.
As to saying he’s never been part of any tea party, I think that’s selective. I’m not part of any tea party either. That doesn’t mean I don’t support them.
He gave some money to a couple of local (local!) democrats, one the mayor of Louisville and the other a legislative candidate who now leads a tea party group. So likely they’re both conservative democrats (probably more conservative than McConnell!).
