Definitely. In the Jewish areas of Bklyn, Crown heights, Borough Park, there are “neighborhood patrols” because of the black on white(Jewish)crime. So when the first stories appeared with, a “Zimmerman”,”gated community”, “neighborhood watch patrol”, it was like a “bulls eye”, “no brainer”, that it was a Jewish on Black shooting.
