Wait till the next load of "drugs" mule'd across turns out to be nerve or biological agent. Or components for a dirty bomb.

It is not a question of if, it is only a question of when. Actually, the components are probably here already.

As sad as it is, my hope is they detonate/release it within the DC beltway. I firmly believe the only way our "leaders" will get serious about border security is if they feel personally threatened and as if their loved-ones are at risk. Right now I think they see the porous southern border as a mere topic of conversation on the cocktail circuit - a source of recreational drugs, cheap labor, and potential future 'rat voters. It is going to take a serious, devastating incident to change that preception.

Absolutely. Until something tragic as a direct result of illegal immigration affects a member of Congress personally, it’ll still be an issue that is swept under the rug. You’d thing elected officials on committees and such would have more foresight and sense before it’s too late, but apparently not.

Sad fact is, 9/11 happened almost a dozen years ago and we’re still politically and economically paralyzed by the event and its aftermath.

I'd agree except for the fact that my younger son lives and works in D.C.; I figure about a 25% chance of losing him to an Islamist nuke/chem/bio attack.
