You are apparently uninformed enough to assume that just because a Democrat’s conspiracy theory - with zero evidence backing it - is read into the Congressional Record, it magically becomes fact.
"To exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may, by Cession of particular States, and the Acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of the Government of the United States".
Since Congress has not exercised its EXCLUSIVE power to pass legislation on this topic, Mr. Gregory has not violated any binding law.
Lawless David Gregory is proving Wayne LaPierre’s point — the lawless won’t abide by gun laws and law enforcement will let them slide every time.
“according to the Congressional Record:”
You apparently jump quickly to conclusions. No one said anything about fact.
After reading the representative’s comment I did some further checking and learned that Rockefeller and Morgan did, in fact, go shopping for some media publications. I was uninformed about it but, since you are well-informed as you suggest, you wouldn’t have bothered to investigate on your own.
Try and keep up...
Uh, Gregory is under investigation.
Get your facts straight.
The law states it is illegal whether full, empty, attached to a rifle or not. By the way, it’s called a “magazine,” OK?
I disagree with you, a rare occasion. It’s the liberals’ law, and it’s hypocritical if they don’t have to follow it. The references to Alinsky are good. Make them live up to their own rules. True, we don’t like the law, but we’d be guilty of acting like Holder if we refuse to enforce laws simply because we don’t like them.
We can change the law later. But until then, Gregory deserves to be made an example of.
Interesting use of language.
"Go shopping for" seems a roundabout way of admitting that they did not actually buy up the US media.
So what is your source documenting this very ominous bout of window shopping?
Our leftist friend, Democrat Representative Callaway knew that he couldn't actually accuse these evil employers of millions of Americans of trying to control the US media.
So he alleged, instead, that these demonic capitalists had signed agreements with newspapers to secretly plant Morgan and Rockefeller employees in editorships at a handful of newspapers.
But Callaway, like yourself, had no sources he could cite for his thesis.
I'm sure he did "some further checking" as well, though.
Try and keep up...
With your poorly sourced nonsense? Done.
Though I confess that I'm at a loss as to why it would be immoral for a banker or a railroad owner to add a newspaper to his list of investments.
David Gregory? What’s his last name?
Why should Gregory be allowed to possess a 30 round mag, and not me?
If it's ridiculous to prosecute him, why wouldn't it be equally ridiculous to prosecute me?
What makes me a threat to society? Why are people arguing that he can be trusted to possess one and I apparently cannot be trusted?
I think SCOTUS disagrees with you about the power of the DC gun laws. If they had no teeth as you suggest, why did the SCOTUS overturn them? Heller would not have had standing to sue.
That might float if the law stated that it was perfectly OK to have them if you made them "inoperable". I'll stick with those who state the obvious that anyone who advances Zero's agenda becomes immune from them pesky laws.
The police claim they said no and the perp says it was the Feds that gave the OK - only problem is the Feds have no jurisdiction in this particular matter - if they did, then they just made one more step towards rewriting history so the Constitution never existed except as some manifesto for the haters of the world to rally around.
No one at NBC has even claimed that defense! So why are you creating a defense for Gregory out of sheer conjecture?
Gregory is a guy who advocates to disarm all of us, and who believes the rules do not apply to him. He sounds pretty dangerous to me.
No heard it on some conservative radio show. They explained what was known at that time.
