So let me see if I’ve got this straight: we made fun of Clint, butt this, this is considered…high art?
Apparently the giant sand sculpture of Big Guy commissioned for the opening of the DNC was damaged by a strong storm that blew in from out of nowhere...

Anyway, I’m just saying, if you believe in omens, a big wind knocking your icon made in sand over just before your national convention is probably not a good one.

What rational thinking American would have anything made of sand at his political convention?
An ideal RNC add could be a series of pictures of the sand image being made, washing partly away, and then being repaired. Loop this a couple of times with some music from the 50s dealing with dreams made of sand. Nothing else other than the closure stating who paid for the add.

When I first heard about the sand sculpture, I really thought it was satire and photo shopped.
I still can’t believe they are doing this.
But I also think that this is not a good likeness of Obama. It looks more like a cartoon character.
You mean this one, “Mr. Sandman” by The Chordettes? It even has “BAM”, as in OBAMA, in the lyrics with little lyric bubbles over the singers’ mouths!

Ha, I’m sorry! As another FReeper suggested, I think this video and music, cut with scenes of the storm washing away the Obama sand sculpture, could be a very funny political ad.
“Please, turn on your magic beam...” might cut to that awful creepy grin of his. A digital genius could make the sand wash away more dramatically. He is “the Sandman”, basing his “dream” for America on nothing more than subterfuge and sand.
