Your right that 5 months is a very short time, but the party will work to defend itself.
The party is much more than the idea guy they put on the ballot in ‘08.
Baraq is also screwing other dimrats by not spreading the party’s wealth around.

I think that Hillary and Bill will manipulate things in their favor—2013 it will be President Hillary, Vice President Kerry and Secretary of State Bill Clinton. The fellow who has the company that will be counting all those voting machine votes is a fellow named Soros and the counting will apparently be done in Spain. Once the machines are downloaded there is no record of the votes entered into those machines. I expect the Democrat to win by a comfortable but not huge margin.

Can't remember now when they dumped Tom Eagleton in '72, but I do remember that was a blow from which McGovern never recovered.

There were other factors that combined to make 1972 an epic blowout, but it arguably started when the RATs threw Eagleton under the bus.
