Texas now has a chance to save the republic. If they lead the revolt to stop the onerous Romney, and they are successful, Texas becomes the new capital of the United States of America.
To achieve this, they must lead the charge for any other candidate but Romney. Not so that other nominee will be elected, but so that Romney will be denied a first round ballot victory.
If that happens, Romney will not get a second chance, because all the delegates, the majority of which are conservatives, will be free to select a different nominee, almost certainly a conservative one.
And if a conservative becomes the nominee, the Republicans will almost certainly win the presidency. Obamacare and many other socialist programs will be over and done with.
There will be conservatives appointed to the Supreme Court of the United States. America will be revitalized again, as it was under Reagan, but this time at not such a horrific cost, of a runaway deficit and irresponsible and oppressive bureaucrats lording it over the citizenry.
It’s up to you, Texas. If you fail, you might as well secede, to leave the ship before it sinks.
Unintended consequence of the “hispanic” attempted power grab through activist judges restructuring Texas districts far beyond what the original issue of the suite was.
Activist judges go with ridiculous new maps and districts, gets overturned, Texas election eases back over the April 1 date, opens the door to Winner Take All, race down to Newt and Willard.
If Rick throws in with Newt and his delegates follow, suddenly Texas could become VERY critical to the race.
Suddenly, little bammy just might NOT be looking at a cake walk against Willard but a dogfight against a seasoned, crafty veteran.
.
But with Rick out, it would come down to Newt (with Perry's support) vs. Romney for Texas' winner take all.
With Santorum out, perhaps Newt can pick up 3 more states so he meets the GOPE's odd rule in the fantasy scenario where Mitt comes up short.
So, Dave.
