Sarah Palin is moving fast to discredit an unflattering HBO movie.
Palin is releasing dozens of behind-the-scenes photos from the 2008 presidential campaign that show her smiling and laughing with the real-life characters including John McCain and his hard-charging campaign manager, Steven Schmidt portrayed in the upcoming movie Game Change.
A link to the photo gallery 67 in all, under the headline Game Change We Can Believe In appeared over the weekend on the home page of SarahPAC.com, Palins political fundraising arm.
The movie, set to air next month. stars Ed Harris as McCain, Julianne Moore as Palin and Woody Harrelson as Schmidt.
Last week on Fox News, Palin dismissed the movie as a waste of time.
But now it appears she is stepping up her campaign to paint as fiction the movie that portrays her as an unprepared diva.
The movie paints her as angry and embarrassed by Tina Feys famous send-up of her. But the photos show her laughing and enjoying herself backstage at SNL. as she rehearsed for her October 2008 appearance on the comedy show.
In the movie, Harrelsons character is shown as Palins biggest detractor. But in a photo captioned All Smiles, Palin and Schmidt are seen beaming after the debate with Joe Biden....

After reading “Going Rogue”, I came to utterly despise Schmidt. And, McCain should have fired him on the spot for his disrespectful, arrogant and childish behavior toward Governor Palin and her family. I would have been just (however, sadly huge fodder for the lib-dim media) if Todd would have beat Schmidt to a pulp. McCain is a real life war hero, but not a real conservative - Sarah’s sense of loyalty toward him despite their differences - and they are significant - is admirable. John SHOULD have - in the most stern and strong way available - put a stop to Schmidt’s BS.
sure is easy on the eyes....
Hint to Romney: Compare your crowds to Sarah's, either in numbers or in enthusiasm. Isn't it time to give up, or are you like the creepy stalker who can't accept the fact that we just aren't attracted to you?
From my mind to your pen........Thanks !
McCain didn’t want it. Any “screw-up” was intentional.
If he hadn’t muzzled Palin in the final weeks, she could have dragged him across the finish line first.
Schmidt IS a schmuck. I was his sign holder in the press room after Debate 08 @ Hofstra.
Him and his lap dog biatch told me to go away, I was “no longer needed”.
So I did. I stood there like an a$$. One of the coordinators asked me why I wasn’t w/ Schmidt and I told him. He was like “What??”.
He told me to go stand behind Schmidt and not to listen to them. So I did and again they told me to go away...this time she was nasty about it.
I told them “no, I can’t go away. He told me to stand behind Schmidt holding the sign”...and I wouldn’t go away.
The little a$$holes ran behind the ropes where no one was allowed to go.
So I just hung out with the new friends I made.
I didn’t tell anyone there about the incident because I didn’t want to put a damper on things.
Damned straight! Without her, McCain's defeat would make Fritz Mondale's 13-525 EV loss seem like a squeaker.
Schmuck? You’re way too nice. He is a traitor, and will someday find himself tiptoeing into the ninth circle of hell. Regardless of what he may or may not have understood or thought about Palin there is always the option of saying nothing, and moving on. Hurting her hurts the Tea Party, hurting the Tea Party, hurts the cause, hurting the cause guarantees an epoch of darkness in this land.
The only ones to uplift my spirits were the Conservative Party, from my home town.
Join the club! I did a search on youtube. I was surprised. The songs were good, and the videos not full of sex and stuff. And she obviously is making money on her voice, not any goofy gimmicks.
What a spectacular set of photos from her historic run. And what a fabulous family the Palins are—so normal and yet so extraordinary.
