It is evil incarnate for Mitt to do attack ads on Newt, but perfectly OK to attack a Christian Catholic on this forum, if his name is not Newt. Got it.

From a Harrisburg, PA Town Hall in June 2011-Interesting quote at the 00:30 mark: "I've got some real concerns with this movement within the Republican Party, and the Tea Party movement to sort of refashion conservatism, and um, I will vocally and publicly oppose it and do my best to correct the record."

Correct what record? I don't understand what he means by that, unless the questioner implied that Rick supported the Tea Party, as it seems by his answer. Does anyone have record of the question?

Since it seems to matter, and before I'm called a Rom-Bot or something, I support Gingrich.

Interesting, it has to be Santorum, Romney, or Obama for you, what is wrong with JR’s favorite?

Could be Gorebal warming, healthcare mandates, supporting DeDe when he didn’t have to support anyone.

Could also be serial cheating and flip flopping on issues. Although Myth doesn’t have this problem with the cheating, at least that we know about yet.

Take your pick. He and Mitt are similar at times. That is why they can’t take each other out.

So it is Santorum, Mitt or Obama before the freerepublic candidate for you also, revealing stuff this Santorum thread.

I can see why Santorum was so pro-Romnney himself, it is reflected among his supporters.

Rick Santorum Used to Cast Himself As Progressive Conservative

And that just doesn't have the same ring in 2012 that it did in 1990.

This isn't meant to be an anti-Santorum comment, but he is a child of the northeastern Rust Belt. State policies up here have suppressed the economy for decades and Santorum's instincts are to help people economically by using the power of government instead of lightening the yoke of government.

His social conservatism is unquestionable. His economic views, however, are questionable. I don't quibble with anyone who supports him -- I'll vote for him if he's the nominee with no regrets.

But we must be on the watch for his old "progressive" economic tendencies.

I gotta laugh at all these Santorum supporters defending their "principled," "consistent," "True Conservative™" against his own statements, his own history, his own voting record after months attacking Bachmann for backstabbing Palin, Perry for not being "heartless" enough, Cain for bold solutions and bimbo eruptions, Romney for flip-flips and Newt for baggage.

What a joke! When the daylight finally hits Santorum, it may be too late for his supporters to scurry away like common cockroaches. No one will admit voting for him or donating to his campaign. I've seen the script played out before. I know how it ends: badly.

2012 could've been different but for a suicidal electorate. Such a waste.
