Yes! I think you're absolutely right. It turns Christianity into a "procedure" to get what you want, and "here's how it works". God/Jesus becomes a magic genie or something that gives you what you want if you just "ask in His name", "say it out loud", "plead the blood", "rebuke Satan", etc...

Stuff I encounter CONSTANTLY!!!!!!!!!!

Especially in light of dealing with something like my food intolerance issues.

I'm being told constantly that it's a *generational curse* or sin in my life, or some such thing and if I just rebuke the enemy, plead the blood, *walk it out*, *eat in faith*, whatever, then viola', I'll be healed. It's mine and I just have to claim it, own it, walk it out, etc. Like God owes me perfect health and lots of prosperity. The problem is, that kind of theology comes in head on clash with reality and the individual suffers, especially with the guilt and condemnation that results.

Nonsense, those saying that haven't a clue!

Paul asked for release from his "thorn" as well...and we all know the response. Jesus asked "the cup be removed"...God said no... Bottom line is His healing is for all Christians,... for with certainty that will happen once we're home with Him.

Just because God chooses to delay healing does not mean it isn't coming....the desire will be fulfilled in us...the timing is His.

BTW, I recall realizing that those types of "people" more times then not read every Word of God as a 'promise' to them when in fact those "promises' are actually possibilities alone. Just not sit in stoane.

Any chance of you trying a ‘juice’ fast? Get lots of fruits and vegetables and put them in a juicer. Drink it in place of a meal once per day ~ more if your doctor approves.

Add small amounts of barely tolerable foods little by little.

I’ve just seen a video that shows the amazing results folks are attaining. And it has the biblical stamp of approval.

PS - I’ll be praying for your improved health metmom so let me know how it goes. I plan to buy a juicer and do the same.
