"Penn State athletic director Tim Curley and Gary Schultz, the school’s vice president for business and finance, were charged with perjury and failure to report the allegations.

Curley and Schultz each face up to seven years in prison if convicted.

The Penn State Board of Trustees announced after a late Sunday emergency meeting that Curley had requested administrative leave so he could devote time to his defense. Schultz said he would step down and go back into retirement. "
