An article from Politico counters some of your constant spin - in this case that Rick Perry has a broad base of support from ordinary Americans:

“The Perry campaign also struggled to woo small donors in the third quarter, with just under $700,000 coming from donors giving under $200, as reported by the New York Times and confirmed by Perry’s campaign. That’s about 4 percent of the campaign’s total haul.”

This just confirms what many of us knew: that Rick Perry is the candidate of the moneyed and special interests. Rick Perry is for sale; always has been and always will be.

If you go to NumbersUSA, you can see how the candidates rate on different aspects of the immigration mess. Perry scores a D-. Perry opposes E-Verify; the only other candidates who oppose it get Fs. I think he opposes it because it would inconvenience his cronies in agribusiness. If the American gangster businessmen who hire all these illegals (wink, wink...they know what they are doing) were suddenly subjected to crushing penalties, including jail time and ruinous fines, an amazing change in behavior would take place. But Perry might not have as much campaign money.

Oh, cynical me...it's really all about "heart."

That’s because a lot of us gave more than we ever had to a single candidate when we heard that the Governor was running. The maximum donation by Federal Law is $2500 per person.
