I think the “racist” accusation is flung about without actual thought as to the meaning of the word, rather like “fascist”, however there is a possible explanation which would give some honesty to the accusation, to wit:

The left is under the delusion that, decades of contrary evidence notwithstanding, not only are their statist, redistributionist, dirigiste economic policies beneficial to racial and ethnic minorities, but that only their statist, redistributionist, dirigiste policies can possibly benefit racial and ethnic minorities. To one laboring under this delusion anyone who doesn’t agree with such policies can be reasonably accused of being a racist.

It is the rare madman who does not think his delusions are the very definition of rationality and reality, and so it is with the left.

Now that the term "racist" has lost its power, the left is turning to its new term - "Nazi."

Did anyone see the video recently of the high school teacher who called the TEA Party man a "Nazi?"

It is obvious to me that "Nazi" is becoming the left's new mantra. Everyone must have a few accurate descriptions of "Nazism" with which to describe liberalism and liberals for moments such as the HS teacher/TEA party guy. Otherwise, over time the word "racist" will simply recede into history and we will all be "Nazis."
