“That little squirrel actually got down on the deck, marched over to the window and began tapping on the glass to get attention.”

LOL! That’s how I tamed a very feral little cat one time. She started out very wild, living in a parking lot by an office building. I couldn’t look her in the eye or she would bolt. Just like a true wild animal. She was terribly thin, so I started leaving her food every afternoon. One afternoon I was about an hour late ... and when I arrived, she marched out of the bushes, not only looked me right in the eye but glared, and said, “Meee-OW!” (Meaning, where the hell is my dinner?)

That was the beginning of our connection ... took me a year after that to tame her, but she became the sweetest little companion I ever had. For 12 years she rode around on Mama’s shoulder. I still miss my little Georgina so much.

So ... that is a happy story ... but what self-respecting human wants to be a tamed kitty riding around on someone’s shoulder? Hm?

Exactly!

(Note: I have eight cats; one is a rescue from a parking lot, too.)
