Now with S&P’s downgrade all precious metals should be going up. I’m thinking buy some this weekend.
It should go up now that S&P has downgraded us, right? I’m thinking about buying some tomorrow.
Monday..you mean monday dont you? Buy a little at a time.
Like I said, I have mine for a means of exchange. Nothing else.
I mean tomorrow. There are lots of places open tomorrow that sell silver.
Here is the way I think of it. If I were to buy some now, and the price went down, I would still have value in my hand and would hand that over to my kids when I pass away.
I bought quite a lot at about 3-4 bucks an ounce way back in the day-1980s.
If you are buying for investment...then that is another matter. You will have to really pay attention to the money supply...how much money the feds are printing etc. They say that QE3 is on the way. If so, metals will go nuts. You can consider copper also. Watch the markets!!! Dont do this and walk away and forget it. You will lose if you do. Pay attention!
But whatever you do, hold the real thing and not a piece of paper. Good luck to you!
Now that one I didnt know. I always buy mine over the internet through Northwest Territorial Mint.
Huh...guess I learned something today!
You can buy silver and gold at any “metal dealer”. There are some in Houston and you can typically buy a little over spot. Especially junk silver. Plus, there’s always pawn shops.
Well...there ya go! You know, I hadnt seen the news on the rating and I honestly thought you were kidding. I was busy doing things around here while talking to you, until I switched over and saw it. I thought, GD! You better get whatever you think is best if you are going into survival mode. This aint gonna be good.
I encourage anyone who cares to read up on the Wiemar Republic...Wikipedia is about as good as any on it for a quick read. That is where we are heading. It will start out slow and build up from there. I had the honor to have known a German who actually lived through it and escaped Germany just prior to WW2. The stories he told were not good.
I’ve grown old. But fellows like us had the sense to listen. This could get hard, and todays kids are in for the shock of their life.
Was this not part of the Hunt Brothers’ problem?
Only when they are speculating on paper. What was the law that went into effect July 15 about all the transactions have to be in bullion now? No more paper specuation? I thought that was supposed to put a stop to the manipulations???
