Former U.S. Representative Alan Grayson paid a visit to The Ed Show, telling host Ed Schultz that, were he still in Congress, he would decidedly not vote for any cuts to Medicare or Social Security, and he would be grabbing everybody else by the collar and telling them they should do the same.
Furthermore, he suggests that a great way of cutting back would be to end our current wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya. He also offered deep criticism of both parties:
Washington is now divided between the meanies and the weenies; its the real two party system today in Washington, the meanies and the weenies. The meanies want to take Social Security and Medicare away from grandma and grandpa, and the weenies are quite willing to go along with it and compromise. Well, people need Social Security to live, and theres no compromise between life and death, theres no middle ground.
Grayson announced he is emphatically opposed to this sort of compromise, adding that hed like to see Medicare expanded to cover dental work, hearing aids, etc. Schultz then asked, bluntly, Is this President weak? Why isnt he saying what youre saying? Grayson replied diplomatically:
Hes my President, hes the leader of my party, so I dont know exactly what to say. But I do know this: All of this compromise has not accomplished anything useful for anybody on our side. It hasnt done any good at all. The President should be saying to people, The Republican party is cruel. The Republican party is bigoted. The Republican party cares only about tax breaks for the rich.
Grayson then announced, right there and then, that hes running for Congress once again.
Watch the segment, via MSNBC:
Congressman Grayson twice broke ranks with Democratic leadership and joined Republicans to oppose the raising of the federal debt limit (Roll no. 46, 2/4/10, Roll no. 988 12/16/09). He said at the time of the February vote, “We need to live within our means. We need to eliminate wasteful spending. If we did those two simple things, we would not need to raise the debt limit.”

HMMM he a,lready voted for the healthcare law that gutted medicare...so he is a liar.
There can be no compromise between freedom and government controls; to accept "just a few controls" is to surrender the principle of inalienable individual rights and to substitute for it the principle of the government's unlimited, arbitrary power, thus delivering oneself into gradual enslavemanet. As an example of this, observe the present libtard domestic policy of the U.S.
Someone please ask Mr. Grayson "how?" and "why?" this is so.
George Will called him the “Worst Congressman in Washington”.... and he was my Congressman. Yuch!
