The combined sum of the agencies’ grants is $409.5 million.

These grants are designed to get the biggest bang for our tax dollar buck.”
Changing it with UN guidelines. There is no guarantee that anything will be built or that such designs will provide any bang at all.

The Obama Administration is pledging to put funding behind its sustainable development promises, and huge amounts of money are involved.
Changes in formulas used to set federal funding levels could have tremendous implications. For example, by promising to promote “transportation choices” that reduce our “dependence on foreign oil,” DOT Secretary Ray LaHood is effectively promising to shift his agency’s focus away from cars and highways. In recent years, about 85% of DOT’s spending has supported highways, with only 15% going to mass transit projects.

Obama: Penn State poised to help U.S. 'Win the Future' Posted on Feb 03, 2011
U.S. President Barack Obama touted the importance of Penn State’s research efforts in moving the nation toward a clean energy future in a talk delivered Thursday, Feb. 3, at the Recreation Building on the University Park campus.
The president unveiled the Better Buildings Initiative, a plan to improve energy efficiency of commercial building space in the U.S. by 20 percent over the next nine years. Integral to that vision, he said, will be efforts such as those taking place at the Energy Innovation Hub for Energy Efficient Buildings at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, a federally-funded research initiative led by Penn State.

Yes it is, IMO. And the same with every other administration of the past, though they haven't been as fervent as he appears to be.

Give me time and you'll get more. Some of it you have to wade through to find so it takes longer to gather.
And as you notice it may not be in order so you may have a little juggling to do.
