This has nothing to do with "going green". It's a sham to cover a) the goobermint's desire to control every little aspect of your life, and b) Centerpoint's desire to rape those who can pay to benefit those who'd live off your work.
BTW, the way to fix it is to get a like minded group together and find the best way to lobby your state Public Utilities Commission.
