Donald Trump is Republican Scientology
The Looking Spoon ^ | 4-11-11 | Jared H. McAndersen

Other than knowing it was pretty much started on a dare to L. Ron Hubbard, my understanding of the Church of Scientology is that I don't have any. None. It doesn't make any sense. Its illogical, and just because a bunch of celebrities flock to it for attention doesn't mean it deserves a seat at the religious roundtable.

In light of all of that, it's clear to me that Donald Trump is Republican Scientology, and I think it was born in a similar way....

Trump was sitting with some friends in a Manhattan penthouse one night a few weeks ago playing a drinking game where they have to take a shot every time someone mentions something good Obama has done.

After two hours of playing, the stone sober idiots decide to play catch up by shotgunning cans of whiskey (they exist). They succeed fabulously, and the members of the party not hooking up with his gold plated toilets proceed with other drinking games.

In a moment of drunken zeal Trump interrupts his turn during "charades," where he and his combover were doing a fantastically accurate impression of a bald Cousin It, to start an impromptu brainstorming session with the party on how to get taken more seriously.

Apparently the fragrance of C-list celebrity he has been wafting on himself since the first season of Celebrity Apprentice isn't filling his "serious" void. Thus he decides, drunkenly, that he needs a real challenge.

He takes a lot of suggestions that sound pretty good, but because everyone is too drunk the slurring is actually quite indecipherable to the sober ear. Frustrated, he walks to his hall of mirrors (having one is an unwritten requirement of being a legitimate billionaire narcissist), looks up at the mirror and sees his reflection through the strands of hair. Suddenly someone says...

I dare you to run for president with your checkered marital past and that silly hair....

to party attendee Newt Gingrich...but that was happening in the other room, and the Donald, naturally, assumed the person was referring to him.

So the damage is done, the race is on, and now the Republicans catapulting this doof into second place in the polls better be ready to explain to the country how this is different from the cult of personality that got Obama elected.

As opposed to Willard - who really does believe in magic underpants-wearing science fiction from a hack writer no less deluded than L. Ron?

While I appreciate that Trump is being extremely vocal on issues that are beyond important to our Nation, I still do not view him as a conservative or someone who will make a great leader.

I am still looking for a true conservative leader, possibly Sarah Palin, or even possibly Michele Bachman or Col. Allen West, or anyone who I can trust to truely champion a conservative movement in this Nation.

Donald Trump just does not fit the bill of conservative leader in how I see him now. He should of espoused conservative principles in the past but instead he did not. He has held way too many left-wing positions in the past for me.

Can anybody see what is going on. The Republicans are trying to help Obama avoid prosecution. Amazing. It is officially a one party system now. Back to the Libertarians for me.

....an illegal alien just taking a job away from a real American?..

..krap! even 'ol Joe is better than Zer0...

...at least we know for sure that 'ol Joe is a bona fide American....born and raised in far east "progressive" America....but born in America nonetheless.

Yet the libertarians have always been a main force in corrupting the republicans. Third party candidates that push against electing true conservatives.

Libertarians have since the creation of their party walked side by side with Marxists in demonstrations against this Nation.

The corruption of the terms liberal and liberty have been the greatest corruption of this Republic.

Libertarians and liberals have walked hand in hand against this great Nation.

He has held way too many left-wing positions in the past for me.

And he hasn't explained in a systematic way why he no longer holds to them.

A “Republican Scientologist” Trump would be better than what we’ve got now. And I don’t know any other candidate who can beat Barry.

Duncan Hunter is the consummate conservative, and would have been a great POTUS. But sadly, he and Tom Tancredo were barely a footnote last time around.

So which campaign are you working for or does your candidate hide behind you?

I’ll tell you right now Trump could get more votes than any other Republican candidate. Trump can beat Obama without a doubt because he is not scared like the other candidates.

If the Republicans put in another McCain type, then not only will they lose the election but lose our nation. Trump has more business experience than any other candidate out there, and he does not live in fear (like the others do).

America needs to be run like a business and not like an empire.

Hey Knucklehead: Trump is a man of actual accomplishment. He may have a few too many wives, a few too many brushes with bankruptcy and a few too many outbursts, he is actually someone with a verifiable past of actual results. He has had them for four decades and has remade the skyline of Manhattan and other major cities in the country.

Obama has done the same by destruction alone.

I have no intention of voting for Trump in the primaries. I would prefer Palin, Gindal, Bachman or another verifiable Conservative. Yet, Trump is vocal and unequivocal. He makes decisions. He takes sides and he is unafraid to both offer his opinion and stand behind it. He is undisturbed by the press and he knows how to fight back, dirty if necessary. This is something that NO other Republican seems capable of doing.

Besides, when all is said and done, either Obama can produce his records or he can not. If he can oh well, if he can't Trump will push to no only have him removed, but imprisoned. In the mean time, it makes Obama look like what he is: Shifty, and untrustworthy.

The article is extremely stupid but I worry about Trump, who he is, who he has been, who he will become.

At the risk of getting flamed I’m going to say that in a VERY SPECIFIC WAY he reminds me of RR, and that way is his comfort level with media. Nobody in politics has that today but Trump.

But in no other respect is he a RR, of course. That goes without saying.

But what is he? Really.

Scientology did not start as a dare to L. Ron Hubbard. He, his then wife, a friend, and Hubbard's future bigamous wife were sitting around brainstorming ways to get rich quick with as little effort as possible. Hubbard said, “The real money is in religion.” He began writing his farcical crap not long after.

So, they were all stone cold sober by the end of the night.

Another thing Knucklehead, Trump doesn't rink at all and he never has. He doesn't smoke and never has, and more importantly he is a vocal critic against Tattoo’s. He hates them and so do I.

Still not voting for him!

l0l! Wonder who's that Applegate guy.

This would potentially make a good SNL skit. Don't be surprised if they do something like it.
