Nah, I don’t buy it. Nobody HAS to say anything.
Politicians say “I misspoke” or “New information has come to light which means that I am altering my previous position,” all the time.
Boehner could have easily said, “unless new information is released which I haven’t seen yet...” But his statemtnt: “that’s good enough for me” is definitive.
