I think he said it jokingly and was complimenting her on how tough she was. Look, I'm not a Romney fan and would never think of voting for him over Palin in the primaries. In fact, I will go on record now and say that if Romney is our standard bearer in 2012, Obama will win the election. However, the one thing I will say about Romney is that I think he is a very classy guy. You can't take that away from him. Unlike almost all Demorats and some RINOs who have been taking shots at Sarah.

Yes, we definitely need a real contender for 2012. Romney definitely wouldn't be it.

However, he did have the opportunity to defend her on Leno and did not go too far out of his way to do so. I believe that all he said was she had her “reasons” for quitting. He knew why she quit. If someone wants to open a conversation about it, he could have at least been honest with Leno and put him in his place. But, I guess if he has any real aspirations to run in 2012, he wouldn't want to help her out too much.

I will agree with you that he does seem like a nice enough guy, and he wasn't as vicious with her as some of the RINO’s have been. I will give him credit for that.

You are right about the halibut comment. However, I still don't think that he should have brought it up because that whole “drama” was being used by the left to portray her as a nut who likes to be cruel to animals. He should have just left it alone.
