Its becoming an annual traditionvandalizing the 4200 flag Veterans Memorial in Cathedral City, California. Cat City is next to Palm Springs.
"The charred remains of a burned flag were discovered early Wednesday behind the Postal Connection, 69-115 Ramon Road, about a mile from the Healing Field display at Patriot Park in Cathedral City at Date Palm and Dinah Shore drives."
This was the fourthand most violent vandalism in as many days.
"The annual Healing Field memorial honors troops killed in Afghanistan or Iraq.
Nearly 5,900 troops have died, but local Healing Field organizers had only enough flags to honor 4,200.
Of the other three flags vandalized, two were crumpled up, while the third was turned upside-down, said Healing Field Project Coordinator Sue Priest, adding that these flags have been appropriately restored to the display."
Maybe its time for Rolling Thunder to stand watch over the memorial.

If it’s happening year after year, then couldn’t someone go there and watch the cemetery at night to catch the vandals?
So sick of the scummy people in this state. I can’t get make my exit out of here soon enough. I’m just disgusted.
On Veteran's Day, no less...
My wish is that just once, a group of veterans and their families and maybe some retired Marine gunnies would catch these despicable people in the act.
Sickening......
When scum behaves like scum...
Well to be honest, the libs aren’t worth the sweat. God was watching.. However a few well placed Devil Dog acquisition specialists could get some extra training.
A
Veteran is someone, who at one point in their life, wrote a blank check
payable to the United States of America for an amount up to and
including, their life. Regardless of personal political views, that is
an honor. There are way too many people in this country who no longer
remember that fact.
Perhaps protecting it should become an annual tradition, too.
I think that the time has come. The theory is that it’s “juveniles”. In Cat City, that probably means bangers.
They are cowards, not even fit to be dirt on the bottom of a vet’s shoe.
Of course, it could be part of a class project from the local high school . . .
Nothing would surprise me about the local public schools except excellence.
