Warning to all..don't waste your time on the original article...it's a mess and misleading. (E.g., if the author is going to profess lessons on law, it should at least learn how to cite the United States Code, and give us the Title #, too [in this case, 18].)
BTW, here's the complaint filed on Jerry M. Blanchard (http://www.wsoctv.com/download/2008/0808/17134227.pdf)...note that it's not for just calling President Obama the Anti-Christ, but is for making threats and claims about assassination plans, even after being warned once. It wasn't a single event and it wasn't a single citizen reporting it...there were three people reporting him.
He was tried, convicted, and sentenced.

According to the first website cited above, Jerry Blanchard of Charlotte, North Carolina "is currently being held at FCI (Federal Correctional Institute) Butner, North Carolina for allegedly threatening to assassinate The Lord Messiah Obama and, more importantly, calling him the 'Anti-Christ.'"
Actually, a federal grand jury indicted Blanchard for twice threatening to assassinate Obama. click here for story

Shrug, Obama wouldn’t be the first Pres not to follow the Oath of office.
I would say there is a possibility that there is a directive that was thought about, and may in the eventuality that Obama has totally lost it all that the SS will just let an assassination attempt take place, of course an effort will be made to stop it, the POTUS may even survive the attempt.
Any President that survives an attempt usually gets his ratings back, unless the higher up society or supporting group thinks he or she should be a martyr instead.
About the only way for Obama to have any positive historical legacy would be for him to just...
JFK,MLK,Lincoln, look at how many schools are named after them.
And his honoring his oath also depends on whether he actually is Da Prezzadizzle. A question he could resolve by showing one piece of paper.

Federal Grand Juries are “Star Chambers” that hear only government produced evidence (no defense allowed) and any U.S. Attorney can get an indictment against anyone for anything.
Jerry Blanchard was released after six months in prison because the case was too weak to take to trial. This means that the charges were questionable in the first place. Clearly, the U.S. Attorney and the SS violated Blanchard’s civil rights to include his First Amendment right.
Therefore, a clear pattern has developed in which the U.S. Secret Service has come down hard on opponents of Obama, but allowed Obots to walk away without charges being filed.
Negative.
Blanchard was released WITHOUT going to court.
What you cite was simply an INDICTMENT.
As I’ve said before the charges were dropped by the U.S. Attorney without a trial and Blanchard walked free.
BTW, how would like to spend six months in prison for no good reason? Think of how much money you’d lose and the manure thrown on your good name!

My information comes from Blanchard’s lawyer who said he had been released and charges dropped for lack of evidence.

This article says that Blanchard lost his CPA license because of a felony conviction in the case. It also says that he plead guilty.
Upon further research, I have to say you’re right.
My information came from Blanchard’s lawyer last year who said all charges had been dropped because the government’s case was weak due to perjury on the part of a witness and Civil Rights violations.
It would appear not to be the case, and Shylock got his pound of flesh after all.
However, it is a pity Blanchard didn’t take his case to court, as evidence indicates that his Writ of Habeas Corpus was violated along with his rights under the 1st, 4th, 5th and 14th Amendments.
