5 Reasons Christine O'Donnell Can Win The Delaware Senate Seat

1-The People are hungry for a Fresh Face-In a year in which voters are looking for a fresh "non-establishment" face..she fits the bill. She has not held office before and the establishment's of both Parties dislike her-all a plus this year.

2-Politics is a Contact Sport-Politics-like, any kind of sales, is a contact sport-the more people you contact the more success you will have. Rather than waiting to be annointed, like Mike Castle, O'Donnell has been all over the state meeting people. She has a personal base of goodwill and is a good campaigner. This will serve her well in November.

3-She does not need a lot of Money-O'Donnell spent one 20th of what Castle spent in the Primary yet won big. Delaware is a small state without big media markets. $1-2 million will get the job done in the hottest of races...vs $15-25 in the big states. She can raise what she needs on her own even without NRSC help. Which, by the way, makeS her even more independent in the Senate if she wins.

And how does the fact that the Republican establishment doesn’t like her hurt her in a very Democratic state?

People have had enough of political hacks standing around with their hair slicked back. You are right we need some new people.

I think O’Donnel should come out and tell the RNSC, she does not want their support. She should say I’ll get my support from We The People and win. That way she will not get to Washington with the Republican RINO’S expecting quid pro quo because they supported her. She will truly, only be, beholden to We The People.

Of course she can win. The "elites" of the repub party are idiots. They should be embracing her.

Sean, Sarah, and Mark can raise all the money this girl needs. They can elect her. The leaders of the repub party need her much more than she needs them.

The more I hear about this O’Donnell gal, the better I like her.

Excuse me for a minute while I go make a donation to her campaign!

Lets’s see...

1. Fresh Face - Nope. That's a tired old line every newcomer uses.

2. Contact Sport - Fair enough. She's pretty decent with a crowd.

3. She doesn't need a lot of money - Uh, no. She's got serious negatives in polling and she's got to turn that around with a much broader audience than just the small Republican primary turnout. She needs the Castle people, independents and Democrats, voting for her to win the general election. Pursuing that result isn't as expensive in Delaware as it is in, say, California, but it's not cheap.

4. Telegenic - Sure, I'll buy that.

5. Independent — Not yet she isn't. That's an image she's got to sell, so back to #3.

I wish her good luck, but I'm with Rove on this one. I'll honestly be surprised if she wins.

There is a money bomb For Christine that starts at 2:00 PM CDT and goes until Saturday 2:00 PM CDT.

The donation site is www.christine2010.com.

Pay up and help secure your children’s futures.

Chris Coons, her opponent, is a self avowed Marxist and he needs to be retired.
If we get this seat, we have a good chance at controlling the Senate.

The repub leaders have waved a red flag in front of the tea partiers. The teapars can literally raise millions of dollars and mobilize thousands of volunteers. They can elect her all by themselves.

O'Donnell is like Sarah, in that, the more they attack her, the stronger she becomes. Her motto should be "BRING IT ON". Sean is on this right now.

Reason #6: She's running against a self-described marxist crackpot.

There is a social psychology concept called "social proof" that shows that we are far more likely to behave in certain ways if we see evidence that others, and most importantly others like ourselves, are behaving in that way. So in theory when white young women (soccer moms) see people like Sarah Palin ascend, they should feel safe and even in a way motivated to embrace her and her style of politics that they never felt comfortable doing when the conservative alternative was an old man, someone as dissimilar from themselves as possible except for race. And as the face of the GOP becomes more Backman, Palin, and yes, O'Donnell instead of Dole, McCaine, Cheney, Gingrich it should, in principle, amplify the effect.

I hope it's true because it's getting kind of tough to offset the dem headlong on blacks, hispanics, jews, college students, AND young women in every election.

Don’t know if you listened to Rush this morning but he was on fire on Christine’s behalf. Apparently her web site crashed because of so many “Want to Donate” attempts and, of course, he gave one of his famous “Hee, hee’s”!. Rush said he was the one who decided whether she would lose or not - not all the others and that was not the way he was going to decide!

It’s better for her if they look like they don’t like her. The voters of Delaware, the Is and Ds, don’t like the people who are criticizing her. Maybe that’ll help Christine.

IMO, that’s the kind of attitude that keeps getting RINO’s elected.

I believe she has a great shot considering most Americans (ones who are awake anyway) are sick of the same tired old “establishment” candidate.

If we can vote out the incumbent “Republican”, we can sure as hell vote out the incumbent “Democrat”. And I think the naysayers either have no clue or just don’t get that WE THE PEOPLE are DONE with the 2-party, lesser-of-2-evils bullcrap.

48% DE Obama unfavorable
46% DE Obama favorable

People don’t want to continue Obamas policies. Tie your opponent to unpopular policies. You get 48% that way.
Be pretty. She gets 2% that way. She wins.

There might be some confused hard core masturbators out there who are strongly opposed to Obama, but most people just want to stop Obama’s agenda, and any little quirks out there won’t bug them. But there are a lot of Dems who like what she says. People who support Obama might think she’s a nice Catholic girl who is getting picked on, if they’re elderly Catholic Democrats who voted for JFK in 1960. Reagan Democrats.

And of course, women, especially young single women.
