As the title suggests I am Dr. Bill Escoffery III. One of my advisors suggested I create an account on FreeRepublic and open the floor up for any discussions about my campaign for U.S. Senate. So here it is.

I agree, now that I see it in print so often!

There have been four of us named “William,” three were doctors, two of us are still alive.

Thus, to avoid confusion, it seemed the best way to I.D. for the ballot.

But my mother’s name was “Smith”. If things were arranged differently, I could have been “Bill Smith!” (Actually, I DO feel more comfortable with that).

So promise me that if I’m elected you will do this for me regularly, ensuring that I never become Hyper-Inflated!

I could not do this without your help and the efforts of all the other folks who have come forward to assist me.

I would particularly like to recognize my wife Leslie for everything she does (including impounding my mis-matched ties!)and arranging our political appearances.

I just took two weeks “Vacation” and we are driving around Florida speaking personally with The True Conservative Faithful. (Yesterday we visited Jacksonville Beaches and tomorrow we will be in Apopka).

If you check the Website from time to time you will see these exciting posts under the tab “Campaign Events”.

Today I also just completed my thirty third weekly church visit since commencing the campaign. It was at the First Presbyterian Church in Palatka and I was very cordially welcomed.

The start of an interesting bio is below.

I was born April 3rd., 1944 as a British Subject on the Island of Jamaica where my Father & Grandfather were both Medical Doctors.

Granddad rode a horse to Obstetrical deliveries in the hills above Ocho-Rios, and from the age of ten I 'apprenticed' at his side: I well remember baptizing one of his infant patients with pneumonia, about to die from lack of hospital resources in that era. I got to know my Dad when he and I spent evenings together in his car as he drove around the city of Kingston doing Medical 'House-Calls.'

I was educated at Jamaica College, the all-boys Christian Academy they had both attended; and I became a Jamaican Citizen when Jamaica gained Independence in the 1960s.

I am honored to be working with you sir. Congrats on visiting so many different churches. As you well know church folks are not very vocal, but they tend to take their vote very seriously. I am sure you made a great personal impression on a lot of folks. Thank YOU for running! you are a conservative breath of fresh air that should be embraced by my fellow FReepers. I am working hard to try and get Marco Rubio to debate you before the primary but so far just “crickets” from the Rubio camp. but that is ok. Your message IS getting out there :)
