If she had national ambitions then quitting was a damned stupid move.

Staying in Alaska until Jan. 2011 would have killed her national ambitions.

B. If (as your posts suggests) she quit her elected position in 2009 to better her national ambition in 2012 it shows a distinct lack of character.
