Sometimes I think the efforts to preserve western civilization are a wasted effort, and that we should just push through the impending collapse and dark ages ASAP.

Healthy cultures simply don’t permit this kind of devolution.Correct. The flip side is that unhealthy economies cannot afford these types of studies. When one is forced to work to eat, one stays focused.
