This afternoon a local radio talk show host reported that he had been in contact with a member of the military. This military source stated that the armed forces have been alerted to the strong possibility that civil unrest may occur in the United States this summer, prior to the midterm elections of 2010.

This has been my position all along. For those counting on the 2010 elections to (peacefully) end this Administration’s ability to move the progressive agenda forward, think again! Ummm. Since it is Congress that regulates the military (the President only issues orders), shouldn't our Congressional Reps. and Sens. be speaking up about this and giving account as to why such a unit was created (apparently behind closed doors) and to spell out clearly and unambiguously the terms and conditions for such a unit to be deployed? I still don't think deployng such a unit would pass Posse Comitatus.
