An opinion and wish on who will win Super Bowl XLIV, also a poll to cast your vote. Who Dat! or Will Manning reign supreme?
The Colts are rightly favored, and they have shaken their old reputation as chokers. Still, the Saints make things happen. It could be a blowout by the Colts, or a close game going either way. On paper the Colts are a better team. But the Saints are a very good team and worthy of their position.
Who Dat!
Saints all the way This is their time
A Saints victory will be a slight upset but hardly a Cinderella story. They had a legitimate shot at going undefeated this season and have been an offensive powerhouse for a few years now. Brees came within 15 yards of breaking Marino’s season passing record and that was last year. Win or lose the Saints won’t be wearing glass slippers, and they won’t be going home in a pumpkin.
Saints win 35-31. WHO DAT!
The Saints will win if they have the same officiating crew as the conference championship.
LOL, ok no glass slippers then.
50% to 50% so far
Colts got my vote.
A very good team would of destroyed the fumble finger Vikings not have had to get lucky in order to beat them in OT.
Colts, but it could go either way if Manning makes some errors, turnovers.
I’ve developed a very effective system for choosing
the winning team in Super Bowls (World Series too).
First, don’t watch many games all season. It’s a waste of time - especially with wild card team insertions at the end.
2. Watch the playoffs for fun. Don’t root for anyone.
3. Pick the favored team for the Superbowl.
4. Reserve the right to change teams at half-time for any reason you prefer.
5. Really be committed to your team during the second half.
6. Enjoy the commercials and food.
It has worked for me for 12 years now! I highly recommend this system.
*for World Series, don’t fully commit until after one team wins three games...
Soup Bo Sunday is always a great time to go places that are normally so overcrowded that it ain’t worth it otherwise.
If the Colt’s have found a way to defeat Saint’s defensive blitzing, the Colt’s win by a big margin.
If not it will come down to the wire but still a Colts win.
Everyone keeps blabbing about the Saints weaker defense but no one mentions that for a good portion of the season the Saints were missing their 2 starting cornerbacks, a starting safety, and two starting defensive tackles. We were picking up players from the street like Mike McKenzie. The Saints are as healthy as they’ve been all year on defense.
Meanwhile all the hype over the Colts offense is manufactured. The Saints were the #1 offense this year while the Colts were #7. The Saints scored 97 more points this year than the Colts.
Manning is suddenly a god? Drew Brees was the highest rated QB this year. Manning, #6. Brees set the all-time NFL completion percentage record this year at 70.6%
Saints 34 Colts 24...
We are trav’ling in the footsteps
Of those who’ve gone before,
And we’ll all be reunited,
On a new and sunlit shore,
Oh, when the saints go marching in
Oh, when the saints go marching in
Lord how I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in
And when the sun begins to shine
And when the sun begins to shine
Lord, how I want to be in that number
When the sun begins to shine
Oh, when the trumpet sounds its call
Oh, when the trumpet sounds its call
Lord, how I want to be in that number
When the trumpet sounds its call
Some say this world of trouble,
Is the only one we need,
But I’m waiting for that morning,
When the new world is revealed.
