This data should be all on one line and points to a situation I don’t understand. There are are great many lines containing two people. Really difficult to know who voted for what.
Other than that, I am in complete agreement. Making a list and checking it twice. Already know who is naughty and nice.
The span of time that I chose for analysis includes an election year and the changes that brings. There are also those House seats left vacant due to death. Most of those are not immediately filled. This makes the table more complex.
I have another version of the table including “red background” for the Progressive members of Congress. I am happy to share that HTML with anyone who will Freepmail me. I have tried to post it here and have not been able to make the HTML table work properly. It works fine with a browser, but something in the translation of posting it to FR causes the columns to not track properly under the Bill.
The source of data also made the table more complex.
Another issue with the table is that of final bill passage. My table lists the votes on the bill as it initially passed the House. If the bill was referred back from the Senate in reconciliation, that is not in my table. Some have questioned my accuracy of the votes listed on the table for this reason. But it is accurate as to the vote as it passed from the House.
