Take a memo: Watch your back if you are a conservative

Everyone knows that the administration doesn't like being criticized. No administration does.

But the problem may be even more serious than anyone guessed. The opposition movement faces a significant challenge to its very existence. Whether you call it the tea-party movement, the anti-socialism movement, the anti-communism movement, or anything else, the fact is there are plenty of people in power who want it shut down, and that includes both Republicans and Democrats.

True indeed. We have a short time to start and support a grass roots conservative movement as the pubs are as foolish and dangerous as the left wing communists.

We are still in a position where our voices, our writings and our physical presence in masses are effective and important. It would not be a bad thing if we could carefully remind the powers that be that we are the demographic that has had most occasion to exercise our 2nd amendment rights.

Perhaps a national marksmanship contest open to the tea party folks and those of similar persuasion to be held next July 4th would be a way to showcase our presence, skills and willingness to meet, on a state by state basis, to shot. It would also show another important point to the opposition.

We are very well armed.

Why not just vote for good candidates and ignore party names? They don’t mean anything anymore. Vote for third-party candidates that support freedom and stop repeating the Republican mantra that third-party candidates can’t win.

We need a revolution, but it is in our power to do it without violence. If the time comes, I’m ready, but I’m ready with pen *and* with arms.

I’m working the “non-violent” revolution, been to a few Tea Parties, was in DC for the 9/12 march even did Gathering Of Eagles a few years ago (for another reason). I write my Senators and Congressmen however, I live in Maryland so it’s a losing cause but I do it anyway. All I ever get is the canned response with no answers to the questions poised. Maryland being the least free of all 50 states...

That all being said, if all else fails, I’m still ready!!

A fabulous & very timely read, folks.
Stick with it 'til the end, you'll be quite surprised.
It STH caught me flatfooted, for sure. LOL

"They've been after "us" for a long time."

Indeed and as the author states: "...the fact is there are plenty of people in power who want it shut down, and that includes both Republicans and Democrats."

Hard to believe, eh? LOL

Thanks for posting this simply excellent piece, radioone. ;^)

Today, I care only that they fear us.

Tomorrow, they will lament our rise.

But with the right combination of "Administration programs and policies" and assistance from "the press, television, church, labor, civic, political and other groups," he (Reuther) insisted, the radical right can be reduced to "its historic role of the impotent lunatic fringe."

The radical right has been under fire since the founding of the this dear country. All moves away from the Founding Fathers original vision have been to the left. Those on the Right can only hope to slow the inexorable slide . . .

"Seasons change and so do I,"
"You need not wonder why . . ."
