Parents are afraid to say NO. I had to laugh, when he said that losers get trophies in todays world.
The thing that people don’t understand is that if a kid loses and doesn’t get a trophy, they will work harder next time so they don’t lose and then they will get a trophy. My daughter’s soccer team got a trophy a few years ago. They did NOT win ONE game all season. After her coach handed the trophies out and we got in the car, she said, “Mom, I don’t know why we got a trophy. We didn’t really earn it.” She was 6 years old at the time.
