Primaries!!!

If we can get every conservative pastor, priest & rabbi to preach that it is our God given privilege, responsibility and duty to be informed and elect good people, and that it is SINFUL to be ignorant and lazy, and to not shirk our duties, especially at the primaries, we can vote a bunch of the bad guys out before the general election! Then we could choose between good and better, instead of between lousy and rotten as we often get stuck with (sorry for the crummy grammar, can’t think of how to express that better).

What is the old saying about how much more a vote is worth in the primaries? Simply because so few bother to vote, the impact of each vote is multiplied. If conservatives got in there in huge numbers in the primaries we could make a powerful difference.

I am a “vote the bums out” type of gal, and I don’t care if they’re Dems or Republicans. Most are worthy of losing office, IMO.

Vote the Rinos out in the primary and the Dems out in the general. If you get stuck with a Rino as the nominee in the general, then take it on a case by case basis. Olympia Snowe, I don't think I could vote for her. Carly Fiorina, I might be able to vote for her if it gets rid of Babs. The main thing is, get out in the PRIMARIES so we don't have to face the whole "lesser evil" choice so often.

I agree. I want my party back. Why should I abandon it to a group of tffee-nosed Johnny-come-lately types? Besides, it is better to have an existing party apparatus in place instead of trying to build them from scratch between now and November 2010 and 2012.

Really? What assumptions did he make of Beck? Seems to me you are the one not listening. The man went on his show so he is NOT an enemy of the guy. Sheesh.

And heads up people. Try listening or reading Rush in CONTEXT. You are grabbing quotations without context and in that respect no different then the media.

Had you LISTENED or read what he said the context of that quote centered around the FACT Republicans are not in power. That while we may be angry at them still we are NOT protesting against them because they have NO power to DO anything. Surely this can’t be a difficult thought process to follow?

But Beck is on fire and lighting it up like Rush never has.

Rush was lighting Democrats up while Beck was still a DJ. There's no need to say "Rush doesn't do X" in order to support Beck: without Rush, there is no Beck. They both do excellent work.

Beck’s on an ego trip. Any person that equates the radical agenda of Obama Van Jones with that of the Republicans is a moron.

They aren’t two of the same as he always suggests. Not even close.

I'd be careful, if I were you, on whom you label a moron. Glenn Beck single handedly has the cockroach democRATS scurrying. Rush makes a good point that conservatives need to TAKE BACK the Republican party and Beck has rightfully excoriated the GOP.

We wouldn't have lost Congress or the Presidency if Republicans would have held to conservative values. Amongst the stench of corrupt Democrats, there have been plenty of corrupt Republicans that also need to be flushed. Trouble is, the entire Democrat party is obviously corrupt, but has the power - at least until the next election. Glenn Beck isn't comparing the two parties tit for tat, and anyone who watches him would agree, which makes me suspect that you don't.

I honestly believe Glenn Beck is in physical danger.

He needs Blackwater protection 24/7

tv has more power than radio against politicans. Most politicans don’t listen to radio, but most do watch tv

This is how the media works.. They look for a divide and exploit it. They will try to say that the republicans aren’t conservative and start to push stories of “conservative” candidates not wanting to run as republicans. They only way they can keep congress in their master’s hands is to split us.

They know this and it’s exactly what they did in 92. They jammed Perot down our throats with fawning coverage knowing that he would never pull dems away. They ran cover for him until the last few months when it was obvious that he would only assist Clinton. When I worked for C/G 96, we were encouraging the development of the 3rd party again until it was obvious that Dole was not a serious candidate.

Watch out for fawning coverage over someone that has absolutely no chance. They’ll say “outsider”.. “true Reagan conservative”.. “most conservative candidate”...

2012 will be the final campaign that the msm will be relevant so they’ll go out with a blaze of glory, imo.

What quotes did I "grab". I listened to Rush when he went on his rant.

That while we may be angry at them still we are NOT protesting against them because they have NO power to DO anything. Surely this can’t be a difficult thought process to follow?

No power to do anything? How about standing up against the liberal slime in Congress. We have about eight or nine that will do that. To counter your argument Olympia Snowe announced that she will not support a plan that has single payer in it. Do you really think that means nothing?

Of course the GOP has some power - they just have no idea how to use it. We gave them over a half a million figurative kicks in the ass this weekend and where are they? Except for a couple of them they are silent. So, yes, in a way we are protesting the GOP - trying to wake them up out of their stupor.

What we have to work on is GETTING GOOD PEOPLE IN THE REP. PRIMARIES. This is the key to change.

An even bigger key is to close the damn primaries; or the democrats are going to wind up choosing our candidates for us again...

There is not going to be a 3rd party. But the Republicans are on notice....show your stripes right now.

Many of them changed their votes today. They’d better stand up and stand tall.

Get their heads out their arses and speak out against this tyrant and what he obviously stands for.

The White House isn’t going to be run like ACORN Central.

Not while I breathe.

“We can’t make the mistake of going to a third party. We must reform the Republican party - clean it out if we need to, and start over. But DON’T go Third Party. We have the Democrats where we want them.”

Amen, Amen. I heard Rush today and I just posted the same sentiment on another thread. Now this O’Keefe fellow and Miss Giles are ABSOLUTELY heros and we need more of this type of stuff. We are only countering 30 or 50 or 70 years of subversive communist action in this country.

ACORN is absolutely commie, through and through and I’ve known this for long before I ever heard of National Review or anything else.

BUT, we will never be able to concentrate enough power in the libertarian party, or the conservative party, or the right to life party, or any other such party.

Did the left do that? Did they run a commies, or greens, or anything else? NO! The left took over the dem party, and all Bill Clinton’s “new democrat” efforts were in vain.

Rush was right on target today, even deflecting attention away from himself as a leader. Now let's all contrast that to Beck.

Huh? When did you hear Beck claim to be the leader of anything?

My pointed isn't that Beck claimed that he was the leader.

My point is that there was a glaring difference between Beck's Tea Party show and Rush's show today. Rush reflected attention away from himself and toward the Tea Party folks. Beck showed very little of the Tea Party folks even though it was a live ongoing event during his show.

BTW, I’m not even in agreement with Rush on the issue. I’m open to a viable third party. I have extreme doubt the Republican party can still be saved. I am also of the belief a third party would become just as corrupt as the other two unless the populace matures and forces a change in their government from the bottom to the top.

It’s just I have had about enough of people trying to destroy good conservatives in a childish effort at a power play. I don’t think Glenn is doing that. I do think some of his supporters though want to cut Rush off or Levin off or any number of conservative figures in a quest to annoint the guy the figure head of the movement. I refuse to be a part of it. If I’ve learned one thing the last few years it’s that I don’t want a figurehead. I want strong voices in favor of what I believe and I’ll protect those voices but I’m growing rather fond of a headless movement if you will and want to keep it that way. Let the American people be the figurehead. Not Rush, not Glenn, not Sarah Palin. WE the PEOPLE.

I love Rush and belkeive in what he says, but I think he missed the point on who gave us Barack Obama. It wasn't ACORN. It wasn't Arianna Huffington or MoveOn - it was the RNC and John McCain.

You must not listen very often. He's said that repeatedly.

I don’t give a damn what Rush says, I’m not voting for another GOP fake conservative for President.

If Palin does not get the GOP nomination in 2012, I’m voting 3rd party, or I’m staying home.
