It’s time for the naysayers against cold fusion to put up or shut up. I’m putting my money where my mouth is.
If the cold fusion people have something that actually works they should be making millions on it, they don’t need any intrade junk. It’s time for cold fusion supporters to put up or shut up.

Fusion and the LHC (Large Hadron Collider)
« on: October 15, 2008, 09:01:06 PM »
Located near Geneva, close to the border between Switzerland and France, the Large Hadron Collider is the largest particle accelerator in the world at a cost of about 9 billion dollars.
It is strange how we love to put all of our eggs in one basket. At the same time 9 billion was spent on the LHC, Dr Bussard could not find a few million for his fusion reactor. Don’t get me wrong, the Physicists working at CERN are some of the best in the world and the reason I’m mentioning them is the analogy between the LHC and the TOKAMAK approach to fusion.
We’ve been promised fusion since the 50’ and there is very little to show in terms of practical achievements. But we made the decision that the TOKAMAK is the way to go. How can we tell if the TOKAMAK path is the right one before it works? And what is a few millions more if it means following two avenues to fusion?
Dr Bussard talks at Google, Novemeber 9-th, 2006, see video. This presentation can be understood by anyone that has completed the Physics sequence in an engineering program or the equivalent.

I AM putting up. I don’t see you over at Intrade buying my 500 futures at $5.50 nor any other offers. If you’re so certain it’s junk science then it’s a giveaway. So YOU put up. Otherwise your words are as empty as your rhetoric.
I thought you might enjoy this thread.
Intrade is bar bets on the internet. If I do a bar bet it’s gonna be in a bar.
Put up by making it work. Not with some stupid bet, MAKE IT WORK.
Cold Fusion sucks, ASP.NET is much better.
Heard of nuclear power?
You’re all talk. I can’t “make it work” because I don’t have the wherewithal. But I can give notice to doofus’s like you who need to be brought down a notch or two. If you’re so certain, then buy my contracts. Otherwise, your naysaying is just bandwagon jumping.
So, let me get this straight: Unless somebody’s silling to go to Intrade and “bet” against you, they have no standing to argue with you on a forum?
Loser. Your bets are meaningless.
It’s one way to put your money where your mouth is. Have you got a better way?
As meaningless as your posts, loser.
I bet on stuff almost every day, but I don’t see your line of argument that unless somebody bets, they can’t argue with you.
It means they’re all talk & no action. Talk is cheap, and they are even cheaper because they don’t put their money where their mouth is. Why should we listen to such people?
When doubters actually do put up, the interaction starts to become quite meaningful. Cold Fusion is emerging from the shadows and these naysayers are a bunch of whiners who don’t like it but they won’t put their own money down to back up their words. Soon they’ll all be retreating back under the rocks they came from.
I wish you the best of luck. Me, I’d never bet on cold fusion, but if you become successful doing it, I’ll be first in line to congratulate you.
