He mishandled her national rollout to the public, botched her relationship with the media and now supporters of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin are charging Sen. John McCain with snubbing his former running mate during an interview on NBCs Tonight Show With Jay Leno Monday night.
Mr. McCain is coming under fire for his conspicuous memory lapse when listing the names of Republican governors who could be the next in line to challenge President Barack Obama in 2012. Mrs. Palin did not make the cut.
We have, Im happy to say, a lot of voices out there, Mr. McCain told host Jay Leno before listing Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, Utah Gov. Jim Huntsman, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, and Florida Gov. Charlie Crist. There are a lot of governors out there who are young and dynamic.
Recognizing his error, the Arizona senator added, Ive left out somebodys name, and Im going to hear about it.
That somebody was Mrs. Palin.
By failing to mention Mrs. Palins name, some conservatives say Mr. McCain is fracturing a Republican Party that must start uniting now if it is going to topple Mr. Obama in 2012.

mccain sure turned out to be a dud.
Term limits.
The only mistake Sarah Palin made during the last election was hooking herself to a looser like McCain.
He did not come across to me as having any memory lapse. His answer came across as 100% deliberate, and it was just awful.
Which just goes to show that what "everyone knows" isn't always so.
If Michael Steele weren’t a good-for-nothing worthless quota hire, then he’d immediately convene the RNC and have McCain expelled from the GOP.
He seems to only be good at stabbing in the back.
Pray for America, Our Troops and Gov Palin
McCain is a cancer, and I am now inclined to believe the rumors about him cooperating with the North Vietnamese during his incarceration in Hanoi.
We need to relegate John McCain to the trash heap of the party. He has cause more damage to conservative than even he knows. The sooner we shun him the better. BTW that shunning will come when Palin and the rest of us ignore him.
Primary his A$$ out of his seat next time. He is a RINO~!
Is anyone running against him in the primaries?
That is okay when McCain didn’t mention Palin it was by designed. It also confirmed for me that Palin is “our” nominee if McCain didn’t mention her.
McCain is the same guy he always was. That is why he lost the election.
That’s right, it seems like McLame was acknowledging that he was not including her on the short list for 2012 and he would hear about it from the conservatives.
What an idiot.
McCain is a large “HAS BEEN” who no longer has any meaning.
Sarah Palin will be remembered positively by most Americans for a long time.
McAinal will become another minor footnote in American History.
As if there was any doubt going in?
