Texas Gov. Perry: Texans Tired of Federal Government Trying to "Tell Us How to Run Texas" - Video

Here is video of Texas Gov. Rick Perry lending his "unwavering support" for Texas House Concurrent Resolution (HCR) 50 in support of states rights under the 10th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Perry asserts that the Federal Government has "become oppressive in its size, its intrusion into the lives of our citizens, and its interference with the affairs of our state." "That is why I am here today to express my unwavering support for efforts all across our country to reaffirm the states rights affirmed by the Tenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. I believe that returning to the letter and spirit of the U.S. Constitution and its essential 10th Amendment will free our state from undue regulations, and ultimately strengthen our Union."

Perry continued: "Millions of Texans are tired of Washington, DC trying to come down here to tell us how to run Texas." . . . . . (Watch Video)

Not the biggest fan of my governor, but he could be a lot worse.

Credit where credit is due...thank you, Governor Perry.

(now KEEP IT UP!)

Her Rick: Secede and we may even elect you first President of Texas. Maybe even put up a big statue of you on IH10 like we did for the First President of Texas.

Don’t forget ... Governor Goodhair is running for re-election. He’ll say anything to win.

All talk unless Texas rejects all federal funds for Texas programs not enumerated in the federal constitution. For example, reject funding for Medicaid, education, welfare, local police.

Yep, and Kay Bailey Hutchinson is running against him. So...if he wins he will return to his RINO roots. Count on it.

Figures. I was just guessing, but it’s so obvious. Pay lip service to a toothless resolution backing a toothless amendment. Pandering.

Who wants to get this started in New York?

An acquaintance and I have been discussing this. It has to be grass roots in a blue state. The strategy is this: Get the conservative party and several other smaller parties to form a coalition of volunteers who will work petition drives in the most populated towns across the state. They will need to come back with an approximate total of 50,000-80,000 signatures as a minimum. A draft resolution should be ready to go. Once the signatures are secured, hold a press conference in Albany, demanding significant and real action on this matter. Also, a group of legislators devoted to this issue (I predict 5-10) should be contacted and kept abreast of the progress of the group. So, on the day of the press conference, the volunteers can meet with their legislators from around the state, as well as the “sovereignty caucus” announcing their support. That would be a good start.

Perry is not fit to stand in the shadows of the great Sam Houston. That said, I’ll vote for him over KBH.

How did you ever guess......... lol. Kay Bailey Hutchison is supposely going to run and if so it will become a very nasty race. The “Tea Sip” cheerleader versus the “Aggie Yell Leader”.

You never hear from him most of the time but now he’s in the media with ever little thing he can find. You’d think he’s the greatest conservative gift to mankind or so he says.

Not a chance. Kalifornia and NY destroyed itself with the liberal jacka@@. It's not so much the Federal Government, but the local Government are crazy loons.

Why do you say a toothless amendment?

I think states should have been screaming about all that is going on for months now. When are the states going to stand up and assert their constitutionally-granted sovereignty?

Better get him up there! With choices like you got now, somebody had better do something... Hell, I'll vote for Nugent myself if y'all will take a MT ballot...
