No, I wouldn’t call Barack and Michelle Obama trailer trash. I’ve known too many good, decent people who just happened to live in trailers.
They are not “trash”. I am half red-neck, half white trash, and the Obama’s are not “trash”.
They are self-centered, egotistical, erudite intellectuals who disdain real life experience in favor of their idealistic views of how they think the world should work. They also have no common sense, lack sincere gratitude and assume that they have no natural need to explain their actions.
But they aren’t “trash”.
Good point - no reason to insult the good, decent, taxpaying, freedom-loving Americans who live in manufactured housing.
What a joke. How come all Dem first ladies' success is based on who they're sleeping with. We all know Michelle's salary went up 200% after her husband became Senator and right before the Univ. of chicago got their million buck grant.
Americans know exactly how they got in and graduated, too.
Whatever else they may be, the Obamas are certainly not “trash”. Except for the fevered imaginings of the shallow media types who worship them as the second coming of Camelot, Obama and his bride are notably short on elegance, courtesy, and style. But as well-dressed Harvard-educated lawyers of a liberal mindset, they are presumed by their fellow elitists to be wise and distinguished as opposed to, say, cunning and manipulative.
Note to RushisMyTeddyBear — your pic shows recyclables; they have use, while 0bama has none. ;-)

After listening to the Lefties whining about how President Bush was a ignorant hick for eight long years, and their thrilled exclamations about how Barack Obama was so cultured, smooth and cosmopolitan, people are holding Obama to a higher standard.
Then when Obama goes out and makes a fool of himself, he is a victim of the high expectations that were held out for him.
Frankly, this is all small potatoes, until it effects policy. But some of the gaffes, like the “Overcharge” button or the bow to the Saudi King, are detrimental to our national interest.

When you let the other side set the rules you've already lost.
Every "civilized" culture that has been attacked by "barbarians" has lost. If you try to take the high road the trash will beat you every time.
We have to learn to fight like them without becoming them. It's a dangerous game but we can't beat them by being nice.

I doubt any degrees were in fact earned, with their history of lies they are probably fakes.
They need to prove the facts and release records of everything.
