Oh My Gosh.

I LOVE THAT PICTURE!! As a teenager of the 80’s (who was in love with Patrick Swayze) that movie represented every fear we had.

Thanks!

I am terrified by the judge that threw out the most recent case because it has been settled by “texting, twittering and blogging”. That’s our criteria of evidence now?

Are there going to be any criminals that need a trial as long as someone has put some evidence on a website? The attorney can say “Judge, there is no need to have a trial, my client has been proven innocent by texting, twittering and blogging. Here is the url.”

Ridiculous.

If you look up the thread, the complete quote is:

“Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the President-elect, Mr. Obama, is a son of the soil of this country. Every other country in this continent is celebrating the Obama win. It is only proper and fitting that the country which he originates from should show the same excitement, pomp and colour.”

Just because we have said it was a photoshop doesn’t mean we have revealed all of what was photoshopped or how it was done.

My standing offer still remains untested by any Obama supporter.

Scan a blank birth certificate
Scan the same with the text typed in by laserjet
Scan the same with the text photoshopped in

post here in this forum

Reveal the actual picture size in bytes for each and then compare with Obama’s.....

The really frightening thing, born out by direct observation, is that our Government servants rely soley on the Media to do the thinking for them, to such an extent that they don't know which side is up!

You got that right!!!

So she found the name remarkable but didn’t bother to comment on a white woman having a black baby?

South African white people who naturalize into American citizens might be called African Americans.

There was a white guy in my College Republican Club back when I was at Columbia who was born and raised in South Africa. He became a naturalized US citizen when he was in high school. He put "African American" down as his race in every single college application he filled out. If there was no "African American" box, he would check "other" and the write it in.

We all thought it was very funny. However, administrators at a couple schools that required interviews weren't amused.

Dear God, help me. I agree with Koyaan!

There are no pixel perfect repeating patterns, and to make matters worse, if I understand the directions right, the author's only cutting out segments of the border without regard to the underlying background that shows through.

Try making a selection rectangle that includes a repeating background pattern to the left and to the right sides of the border. Coy and paste the selection, and good luck trying to match it to any other segment of border and background -- it cannot be done.

Ha! And the ‘doctor’ was too politically correct (in 1961) to mention it...but she wrote the name on a table napkin...(btw, that reminds me of the story of how Hubbard invented Scientology.)

You know, the author who did this "test" was on the right track, except he got it totally reversed. On a real scan, there will be repeating patterns that are uniform in color count and in pixel patterns.

Here are two clips of the border and background of a real 2006 COLB scan (it has the same border as the 2007 COLBs). These clips are identical in dimensions, memory size, and number of colors.

The first clip is from the upper left of the border:

The second clip is from the lower left of the border (color of clip #2 was changed to red for comparison purposes):

This is an overlay of the two clips (Clip #2 set to 50% transparency)

As you can see above, I moved the red clip #2 downwards until its pixels aligned with those of green clip #1. Notice that you get a really close match between the two on the hatched lines and on the small dots or rectangles.

You cannot make a comparison like this on the Factcheck COLB as its repetitive patterns were altered in the process of forging the image.

So, it's "no pixel match along border = no real COLB."

LOL!

I'd also love to see this scenario play out:

You move to Hawaii and have to go down to the DMV to get a Hawaiian drivers license. When they ask to see your birth certificate as proof of identity and citizenship, you whip out your iPhone and show them a scan image of it.

"Sir, we need to see a paper copy of your birth certificate."

"But, why?" you ask in a puzzled tone, "Obama only had to show an image of his, so why can't I?"

"Sir, this image doesn't even have a Seal and a signature on it! We need to see a certified paper copy of your actual birth certificate."

So, you flip to the image which had edge detection applied to it and say, "See this?" pointing to the fuzzy outline of the Seal, "It's got a Seal and a date stamp, and if you look at my next image (which is a red enhanced copy) you can ever notice the signature."

"Sir, I'm going to have to ask you to leave.."

Oh, I fully intend to scan in a fake birth certificate for Dolly Parton at my license renewal. Then when ask for proof that I am Dolly Parton now, I am going to give the a photograph (ala factcheck.org) and say “here, see, I even had my original birth certificate changed”. I am now “Dolly Parton”.
