"When It Came" [In Defense of the Republic]

The president-designate's gaze passed swiftly over the faces of the cameramen. All were doing their best to retain a professional demeanor. None were entirely successful. The overwhelming majority of them, like the majority of their brethren in journalism, had supported the deposed administration. Few had any sympathy for the views of those who were to replace it. Yet each of them had volunteered for his assignment, knowing full well what had come to pass.
"I wish it could have been otherwise, but the late president gave us no choice. He had decided to place himself and his associates above the law -- the supreme law, the Constitution. That made him and those who stood by him criminals, whose deaths in combat were fully justified. I'd have preferred to see them go on trial for their crimes, but their tenacity in defense of their illegitimately wielded powers took that possibility away from us.

It looks like Dr. Porretto took notice of your concerns in his
follow-up this morning.
For that reason, I cannot see the state, county, and municipal governments [whom face a loss of tax revenue that will chafe their boughten supporters sorely]* as allies in the defense of freedom, the "state sovereignty movement" notwithstanding. If Washington wants to bring a lower government to heel, it need only close the Treasury to that government. It's been done before; it will be done again.
*bracketed phrase inserted from earlier paragraph in same post.
His answer to you seems to be "you will find it in those who will take their cue from the ninth and tenth Amendments of The Bill of Rights."

At some point in the not too distant future, there will be a ‘reveal’, in which the true nature of the modern state regime is exhibited. Folks will sidle on over to their appropriate camps - amicae and inimicae of those holding actual power.
It would be nice to ‘avoid Sulla’, but he was an appropriate political rejoinder to the redistributionist Marius at the time.
IMHO.

As you know, I came up with my moniker when there was still some wiggle room for all those not-yet-a-vampire to fashion their wooden stakes.
Tragically, too many who might read your comment will merely be scratching their heads.
"Luigi is Mario's opponent; who is sullen?"
and
"Isn't Marian an old fashioned name for a modern baby girl?"
wtf?

"Zombies are those whove had their brains to procreate sucked out of them; they may be walking but have no posterity of their own: ... "I don't suppose anyone has any stats on the progeny of our (spit) "elected" officials.
Who has children, how many, boy/girl, ages .. etc.
Little miss McCain comes to mind as a dangerous person, born and bred a RINO and causing trouble now wherever she goes.
