From the looks of things, it is also 'accurate'. Understand, it is not the trash on the ground that matters, but the hypocrisy littered all over the place. These people vote for the ones that tell us how we should live, how our very lives hurt the environment, how we are damaging this planet.
On another thread discussing this, there was quote from some mall authority. The quote mentioned the gathering of 'promise keepers' years ago left the mall cleaner than any other event he remembers...
Agreed.
Our church participates in “World Changers” where we take HS and middle school youth to poor areas of cities to perform charity consruction and spread the Good Word — and for them to learn the value of service. We stay at local high schools wherever possible. We MAKE SURE we get the same remarks — that ‘the high school has never been cleaner than when you guys stayed here.’ We clean the rooms, pick trash out of landscaping, etc etc. We thank the lunch ladies and make sure the tables and floors are clean before the staff EVER have to clean up after us. It’s about values, genuine love (agape) and caring for others, and a sense of responsibility.
These folks clearly felt none of that — except in their sloganeering.
