I'm Not Watching

I'm Not Watching

I will not be participating in viewership of any and all ceremonies of one Barack Hussein Obama. I have cut TV/Cable News out of my life by 90% since the election. Since then my blood pressure has been perfect, my diet has been more balanced, I sleep better, and I do not have mood swings based on breaking news every 5 minutes.

I recognized the night of the election that this country has turned a page and as I will quietly support sites such as FreeRepublic and other TRUE Conservative causes..I find absolutely NO need to drive myself to an early grave over watching Democrats destroy everything I stand for.

I already saw this movie before...twice..Carter and Clinton and this show is going to be indeed the JAWS 3 of the 3 of them. For those who don't know JAWS 3 is widely considered one of if not THE single worst sequel to a hit franchise in film history.

There will be crimes like we have never seen before, liberties stripped, taxed to high heaven, and the news will be bad, bad, and more bad of Democrats getting away with everything.

I know the ending so why bother re-watching a bad story again? I will keep tabs on FR...make a post here and there and when it comes time to fight to regain control...I will be back around on a regular basis.

But for now...I refuse to watch him get sworn into office...I don't want to watch President Bush and Laura leave to the cheering Democratic crowds throwing shoes as symbols of their hate for him. Nope...don't care about the balls that will be held...the 24/7 coverage of how incredible and great this man and moment is.

Want none of it.

This was a man who was created and groomed for this moment by Madison Ave, Soros, MTV Networks, Viacom...they can have their parties...the same ones they didn't have for Bush either time because we were at war or the election was too close or some other B.S.

Last I checked...we are still at war...on the very same levels and it is getting worse with Cuba, Venezuela, Russia and a few other countries trying us right now.

I'll choose sanity and not give a single ratings point to this circus. Chris Matthews, Wolf Blitzer, Katie Couric, Brian Williams, Keith Olbermann...and the dozens of losers who work under them...pat yourselves on the back because I for one will not take part in giving you an ounce of attention.

Ping me if the world is coming to an end...I'll be in the shower.

But, don't you want to watch history being made?

I've already bought commemorative coins as keepsakes for each of my children. I want them to remember this special event forever.

me too.

it makes me ill to think people voted for this man.

the “jobs creation” thing is cracking me up. first it was 2 million, then 2.5 million, now it’s up to 4 million.

real sad thing is how many people drink the kool aid.

:-(

I love work more than ever since the election. I have been losing myself in it..and enjoying every second of it. Why? Because I appreciate having a job in this horrible economy and lemme tell you...a trillion dollars being thrown at roads and bridges ain’t gonna change my mood about Obama.

I never want America to fail...don’t want Obama to fail either. Hit the gym...go on a road trip...start new projects...you name it..I am open for it at this point..anything but tv/cable news.

I do hope that Maya Angelou writes a special poem for the occasion.

And if we're lucky, maybe Angela Davis will show up.

I haven’t watched ANY coverage of the “annointed one” since he won the primary. Right now “Death Wish 2” is on. A great movie that shows what an armed public can accomplish! John Wayne movies. “The Patriot” with Mel Gibson. That’s what I’ll be watching through January. February, I always watch “Roots” and “The Color Purple” to celebrate “Black History Month”! ~sarc

Once pro football’s over the alphabets get no further attention from me, just like every year for a long, long time. I’ll still take a peek now and then at FOX news. They’ll be who I’ll go to for coverage after the coronation so I can see what a cluster-you-know-what it turned out to be.

Me, I'm gonna get all hammered up and listen to Iron Maiden.

Two minutes to midnight.

When I am at Walgreens and see his damn plate staring me in the face every time I check out all I can say to myself is...”I don’t remember the Bush plate being offered here”

Book shopping as well at Books A Million has even become an insulting experience for me as well..Bush punching bags for sale on the way to the register.

Countless anti-Bush and anti-conservative books. Why bother giving a dime to people who peddle that crap. So tacky.

I won’t be watching, nor will I be working. My goal is to cut my income (and spending) as much as possible.

On January 20, 2009, I'll be at work busting my ass. It's what REAL Americans do.

Phony balony, good time rock 'n' roller, "history" makes me sick. I don't have time for it.

The LARGE part of the reason old media collapsed in the last few years is that Conservatives stopped watching it.

Just in my household, we turned off the Network news, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC and shut off the subscriptions to both Dallas Morning News and New York Times.

Keep in mind that I am a news hound and I actually do like many of the products (world news, science, arts etc) that all of the above companies provide.

However, due to the incessant insulting of Republicans and President Bush, I shut off the above media outlets from reaching me in my home.

In many ways when old media dies, it will be an UNNECCESARY death. They brought FORWARD their death by atleast a decade.

It is my contention that had media remained broadly fair they would have had atleast another 10 good years.

Sooner or later someone young and smart will test the above hypothesis and will prove it with surveys and smart searching of data. Then he/she will get a Ph.D.

When he/she does get that Ph.D. and publishes that best seller book, remember that I said it here first.

I could not possibly care less about obummer and his coronation pageant.

What I do care about is the wholesale surrender of the right, and the pervasive equivocation.

If Patton had acted like the right is now during WWII, half of us would be speaking German, and the other half would either be soap or axle grease.

I'll be at work, but I'm hoping he will redeem my opinion of him by thanking President Bush for all his efforts in keeping us protected.

Not holding my breath.
