I'm beginning to think IL democrats could screw up a winning lottery ticket..

Illinois Republicans are not much better.

I believe Jesse jackson Sr. has done something foul.

[Paying full price for a Honey Baked Ham?]

Jesse made a trip to Hammietown.

Emanuel is a typical, sleezy Chicago machine politician. He succeeded Blago as congressman from the Ill. 5th district and bragged he and Obama both put together the playbook for Blago's successful run for governor. There's more to connect Blago and Emanuel and Obama than has come out.

Rahm-Obama-DING-DONG!!!

The original “High Hopes” was sung by Frank Sinatra in the movie “Hole In The Head.” It starred Frank Sinatra as the owner of a rundown residence hotel in Miami Beach. This movie was brought to mind when many years after the movie was made, I visited the father of a friend of mine who was managing a rundown residence hotel in...Miami Beach. None of that “Miami Vice” celebrity. Just a depressing rundown hotel filled with people living out their final years. Very depressing. Plus my friend’s father also found it depressing. But that was the job he was stuck with. Sort of a comedown from when he used to manage a glamorous hotel in Jamaica. < /nostalgia>

The life lesson here is to ALWAYS check the web when you intend to purchase an item costing more than 10 bucks because quite often there is a coupon for it. Also if you have a G1 cell phone, you can scan the product bar code with its camera and the phone will tell you where you can buy the same item cheaper in your geographic area. I've been hearing great things about the G1 phone. Unfortunately, my MetroPCS (most popular plan in South Florida) does not yet have the G1 but I'm hoping it will by this summer.

Oh, and don't forget about those discounted restaurant gift certificates.

Right now Restaurant.Com has a special COUPON offer until Jan. 1. You can get a $25 gift certificate for just 2 bucks. They stipulated a $35 minimum restaurant bill so for just 12 dollars out of pocket, you can enjoy a $35 meal (which can include oversized Margaritas).

Remember, never pay retail when such great coupons are available online.

Don Jose’s? And do they have extra large margarita’s? I could get pretty smashed drinking 35 bucks worth of margaritas for just 12 dollars.

Amazing. I didn’t know you could buy restaurant gift cards at such a deep discount, but one quick google, and I found a lot of sites. Thanks!

Too rich for my budget, but for a cooked and sliced ham, probably not unreasonable.
I usually cook a ham myself, with brown sugar and cloves, and pineapple in the pan. But with just hubby and myself this holiday I didn’t bother.
