I had the same predicament. Wanted to see the Carroll interview...so I DVR’d 60 Minutes. When they started off w/ the “Frank in the smartest politician in Washington” b.s., I couldn't reach for the fast forward button fast enough to get to the Carroll interview.

I had no idea about Carroll's off field activities within L.A.'s inner-city gang infested ghettos.
He's a treasure to So Cal.

I do the same. I DVR the entire show every week so that I do not miss the few segments that are worth watching without having to suffer segments like the Barney Frank infomercial. The Pete Carroll interview was great! A man whom many in the NFL consider a failure has truly found his niche in LA. He is a positive influence, not only on the football players at USC, but also young boys who would in all likelihood become gang members.
