Define R.I.N.O.: A Republican In Name Only.
Examples of the type of Republican covered under this definition are:
These five supposed Republican are nothing more than jackasses in elephant's clothing. Rep. Mark Kirk has introduced a bill, H.R. 6257: Assault Weapons Ban Reauthorization Act of 2008, which would "To reinstate the Public Safety and Recreational Firearms Use Protection Act." The bill has been co-sponsored by the other four jackasses listed above. All of them claim to be Republicans.
All of them need to leave the party.
Seriously.
Go.

You can always count on my lone Congressman, Mike Castle, to gum up the works. He is so bad the RATs don’t even want him. Me, I voted for a Democrat - just to be rid of him. But, like a cat, he has nine lives.
Is there any way he could be, like, excommunicated from the Republican Party?
This pretty much decides for me whether the acronym `RINO’ is useful any longer. It used to be shorthand describing Republicans who were acting like Democrats; however, in recent months it isn’t so surprising to see Republicans acting like (gun-grabbing, amnesty/abortion supporting, free-spending, etc.) Democrats, so I see it now as a dated and useless symbol.
We should be judging GOP political actors on the basis of whether s/he is a conservative or not (CINO) since the letter following a congressman’s name or the association (NR, Weekly Standard, Fox) establishes no presumption, or means nothing anymore, except that it is only slightly more likely that his/her issue positions are not leftist.
RINOs want to do as much damage to the Republican Party as they can, while they can. It’s what they live for.
I will no longer support a party that tolerates this crap.
I may switch to unenrolled in a party.
When I went to the gunshow there were lines down to the end of the building.
When I went to volunteer at the Republican headquarters, there were only five of us.
I suspect you’re part of the problem because you’ll judge the entire party based on the actions of a few.
The manufacturers should tie it up in court for the next decade.
Giuliani and Bloomberg aeem to be the trend, I’m not going that way. I wouldn’t pee on any of them if they were on fire laying in the gutter, I’ll be damned before they lead me anywhere.
Not a few, but quite a few.
And to answer your question directly: Yes, I am part of the problem. At least in the sense that all the R's problems are because of us damn conservatives.
No big shock, this isn't the first time, but it will definitely be the LAST time for me. She's my rep and I have been faithful for years. Well, here is the letter I just wrote her (sanitized to protect the innocent):
HON. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen
2160 Rayburn H.O.B.
Washington, DC 20515-0918
Ily, we've known each other for years and I have volunteered for your campaign several times in the past. I can't believe that after the huge fight you just endured in your re-election you would suddenly BETRAY your constituents and actually co-sponsor a bill that puts your (the government's) foot -- right next to Castro's foot -- on the necks of citizens who wish to remain free by owning weapons common to the militia, for lawful self defense or collecting. You know as well as I do that these weapons are actually used by criminals in a miniscule portion of crime, but when it does happen it gets major coverage by an anti FREEDOM press. Are you lining up with them?
The HELLER decision clearly said that the 2nd Amendment is an individual RIGHT. Are you a DEMOCRAT OR A REPUBLICAN? Democrats ban guns. You're up for re-election in just two years. The Democrats lost the House last time because they tried exactly this.
What about your support for veterans? A lot of vets own these rifles because they want to remember the time they served and want to feel it was worth the sacrifice. I'm one of those veterans. I'm afraid that if you don't see the need to support my civil rights, then I can't support your re-election even as much as I love my friendship with some of your staff. I'd rather have to fight an antigun Democrat than watch for a throat cutting Republican.

Well said soldier!
Yes....yes it is!
That was funny!
With “Republicans” like these, I’d like to know why I should support the Republican party? One of the planks in the party platform is “climate change”. I will not support anyone who talks this nonsense. I can’t see getting “united” with a bunch of fools. As Reagain said, the party left me, I didn’t leave the party.
And mine wonders why I left. Stinkin' useless liberals. One would think that these idiots would have read the constitution, and would have read the federalist papers which outline the purpose of the second amendment. It isn't about hunting, and it isn't about sports.
Or perhaps, like the other liberals, they have read those things and they do know the purpose of the second amendment. And they're afraid of what will happen when they do to 'we the people' what communists always do to their subjects.
