A Modern-day Aunt Esther.

Esther, a woman of deep faith, courage and patriotism. The Scriptures describe her as a woman raised up as an instrument God for a great purpose.
I read the following email from my sister and wanted to pass it along to you: the incredible first person account of Mark Arnold from Lebanon, Ohio, and his encounter with John McCain and Sarah Palin.
This past Tuesday, the McCain / Palin Bus came through a little town called, Lebanon , Ohio . The LORD allowed me to go to the Rally giving them a message that He wanted me to personally deliver.Sunday Night - a burden hit me that would only shake me to my knees - I prayed and wept for our Nation. Never has my heart been so broken before God. I literally interceded for these wonderful people who do not deserve all the hate against them. The GOD-Haters are going to try everything to stop them, but they will not succeed!
God is not pleased with the ‘bashing’ in the News of this ‘Anointed’ person. He has called her for this time! I promised God that I would pray and hold them up in prayer. I would ‘listen’ out and be mindful of where they were. The following day is important in this time-line…because I didn’t even know until God spoke to me…

I believe it. The fact that both Sarah and Todd began to cry when he mentioned that God had called Sarah to be a present-day Esther is proof that God is speaking that to them as well.
A Modern-day Aunt Esther.
The same thought was confirmed in my prayers for Sarah the day of her debate. It is important to note that Esther (also part of a beauty pageant) was there to represent and speak for the remnant...her people. In history the LORD used Esther to preserve the remnant.
No, that’s the spirit of Jezebel....she’s after that vineyard (the nation) for her husband, Ahab - who wants it for himself.
I pray every night that this is true! I fear this country doesn’t deserve it in its present debauched state...

Keep praying for her! I truly believe God’s hand is on Sarah and He HAS raised her up for a time such as this. God bless John McCain for listening to (what I believe) the voice of the Lord in choosing Sarah for his running mate.
I just got chills. I have received e-mails from friends that are connected with people the Palin’s worshipped with, and they have said the same thing. That people have been telling Sarah Palin that God has impressed upon them to pray for her, and that she is a modern-day Esther.
Oh, Lord, hear our prayer.
Thank you!!!! The book of Esther teaches much more than the life of one lady. I will pray for you and Sarah.
I have felt called to read Esther the last few days. Now I see why.
The story brought tears to my eyes. I e-mailed the pastor.

Last Sunday, I attended a church I usually don’t go to, and I looked up, and there was a stained glass window image of Ester. I smiled because that is one of my favorite Bible stories. What a coincidence.

Thank you for the inspirational story. I would like to send this to friends so I did a bit more checking. I don’t see a Life Covenent Church in Monroe, Ohio though, so I will wait until I hear more about the story. I looked on youtube and didn’t see anything there with the pastor and them talking, etc. (all they show is the speeches - not afterwards).
However, I know that God has raised up Governor Palin at this time for some purpose. I pray that it is to help John McCain and her to get elected. And I think that we all saw how powerful a community in prayer can be during her debate.
Dear Lord - in spite of doubts and rumors, wheather it be about politics or the economy or religion - we know that You are the truth. We pray that the candidates would see and follow your truth - and that they can convey those truths to the American voters and that we will choose correctly. Please continue to guide Sarah in your path, and that she may be a beacon to others as well.
