McCain’s plan for Palin as VP:
She’ll be in charge of:
1. Energy Security
2. Government Reform
She has definitely moved beyond the stump speech today.
Lots of new material here. I like that her portfolio in the administration will include energy security and government reform. Will have to hear more, but I’m not sure her focus on special needs families is really either a federal or presidential-level focus.
Sounds like she is charged up about the media twits. She seems very comfortable in being the outsider, not only outside Washington, but outside the elites.
My question is not earth shattering, but I have to ask as I am not familiar with the technical aspect of tv broadcasting...
When I flipped between Fox and CNN during the governor’s speech, everyone’s skin looked red as “satan’s cape” on CNN and on Fox everyone had regular flesh tones and looked normal. The red tinge on CNN made Mrs. Palin look harsh and slightly vehement.
Now, during Biden’s speech I did the same thing and his skin looks perfectly normal on CNN. I know they’re in different venues, but could this have been contrived by CNN?
I wish she or McCain would mention the low 9% rating of Pelosi and friends. We need change there too. Maybe that’s on the back burner for now.
What she’s identified on her third focus is medical research and particularly dealing with red tape there, so I’m with that. She really is sounding good on the whole reform/open/small government-for-the-people bit.
She is formidable indeed.
I wish that too. I know McCain talked about it some, but I don't know if they're emphasizing it enough. America HATES the Democrat-controlled Congress, and with every day that goes by, they hate it more.

I just watched Sara Palin while Fox News carried the entire Biden speech. Only the first few minuets of Sara.

Agree. She should incorporate some subtle but obvious digs at Obama/Biden. God knows there’s enough material.
In the context of her son being in Iraq, she could allude to Obama trying to keep the war going for his own political reasons.

I had coffee with my Conservative Retired College Professor friend the other day.
As the "Doctor" noted, She is a "Natural" and in literature, they are a gift from the gods, and mere mortals try to destroy her (i.e. the press figuratively) for a host of reasons.
She is a "Natural" just as Ronald Reagan was....
I didn’t see it myself, but, it very well could have been done on purpose by CNN.
When a cameraman sets up for a shot they will zoom in on something that is pure white and they will white balance the camera, which adjusts the cameras electronics to the color temperature of the light in that particular location.
If it is not done, then, the color broadcast by the camera can be skewed.
This is one of the most basic elements of a cameraman’s job.
So, it’s very hard to imagine that a professional cameraman would forget to do this.
CNN has a control room at the headquarters that can manipulate the way the color appears on your TV.
I would suspect that this is what happened.
Red represents evil. It’s a very similar to the situation we saw over the weekend regarding the Altlanic Monthly photographer...highly biased manipulation of visuals.
