CNN Defends Loading Republican Presidential Debate with Democrat Questioners
The Arizona Conservative ^ | December 1, 2007 | John Semmens

Posted on 12/01/2007 7:47:27 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

If you thought there was something odd about CNN's YouTube Republican presidential debate you are correct. As it turns out, at least nine of the “undecided Republican voters” have subsequently been identified as Democrats who have taken stands in support of one or another of the current Democratic presidential candidates.

CNN President Jonathan Klein was quick to defend loading the questions in this fashion. “Who better to show the unsuitability of these Republican candidates than knowledgeable Democrats?” Klein asked. “The American people deserve to see these poseurs exposed to critical scrutiny. Our only disappointment is that the revelation of the identities of these questioners will now be used by the vast rightwing conspiracy to cloud the issue.”

Klein emphasized that “what may appear to the ill-informed as a ‘dirty trick’ is warranted by the critical nature of next year’s election. It is absolutely essential that control of the government be returned to Democratic hands. Key policy initiatives like nationalized health care, the award of citizenship and voting rights to undocumented residents, and increased taxes need a unified Democratic executive and congress to ensure enactment.”

The CNN chief said he was confident that the disclosure of CNN’s efforts to tilt the election outcome “will be known only to the ‘lunatic fringe’ who dominate talk radio and Internet blogs because no reputable media outlet will cover this story.”

Satire and reality blend so well nowadays, who can see the seam?

Heck, they don't need a democrat to enact those policies, just elect Mike, Mitt or Rudy, they'll do it!

I thought some of the candidates handled the questions very well. In a way it’s a good thing because we got to see them face the opposition before we end up with one candidate who may prove to be pathetic when the heat is on. I’m with Hunter, “Send more”.

This isn't really satire. This is the true motivation of CNN and a good description of their attitude. I would have more respect for CNN if they would just speak up as in this piece.

It must be getting late, I just put the word "respect" in the same sentence with CNN.

Keep in mind that Jonathan Klein was a senior producer at CBS when the alternative media broke the Dan Rather document story. It was Klein who called us, "some guy(s) in front of his computer in his pajamas."

We don't have to target Klein to get him out of there. The continuing failure of CNN, with Klein continuing to lead the lemmings over the cliff, will do the job soon enough.

Out of 5,000 utube submissions, the mavens at CNN plucked out about 20.

Given 5,000 submissions, they must have received at least a hundred far, far from the middle of the bell curve.

“Somehow” their “average” submission was a yahoo waving a Bible, throwing and shooting a shotgun, with a Confederate battle flag in the background.

Oh, and a fake queer “general” who just “happened” to be in the audience with a spotlight and a microphone.

I really hope this is an accurate quote, for it shines the bright light of truth on a truly criminal enterprise that needs to have it's FCC license pulled.

“Who better to show the unsuitability of these Republican candidates than knowledgeable Democrats?” Klein asked.

So first they lie and say they're all undecided republicans, then deny they are democrat plants, then claim they didn't know the politics of some of the questioners, then finally come out with this as a response?

If they intended on using democrat questioners why not admit this in the first place?

Is there any question of CNN's bias anymore? CNN's president gets to make a judgement call on the electability of the republican candidates then turn around and say CNN is an unbiased news organization?

Then again I suppose he's not trying to convince us.

Right, the Sudanese quote including the word thirst, I believe is accurate. But you get confused between truth and satire in these times. It is very tough to be a satirist when so many are parodies of themselves

It's not. The quote was fabricated by Mr. Semmens, in an attempt at satire.

CNN lied for Saddam, and is willing to lie to you about thier fake “Republicans”..

Just IMAGINE what they are willing to do to get Hillary Elected!

SEIG HEIL!
HIEL HILLARY!

In the end, it doesn’t matter if they are exposed. A Republican Debate was manipulated into a session on DEMOCRAT Issues. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

We don’t get that back.

Yes, they ahndled questions on DEMOCRAT ISSUES very well, but spent almost ZERO time on issues of Primary concern to REPUBLICANS, with the exception of immigration..

It isn’t “who” was asking the question so much as it was the underhanded means by which they hid behind the description of undecided Republican voters which was an absolute Stalinist lie.

They are DNC brownshirt activists with chosen Democrat candidates.

And where is the equal time for Doug From Upland and others to ask the Democrat candidates questions?

Remember the media outrage over Talon News Service at the White House briefings?

There is no FCC license for cable channels but there could still be fraud charges and election law violations.

If a cable channel were to run a gameshow and rig the results (give one contestant the questions prior to taping and stack the deck against the other contestants) there would be a federal investigation. Just look at Twenty One...

A rigged debate is a rigged election. The fix is in. By Any Means Necessary.
