It certainly puts Republicans between a rock and a hard place, though-being forced to punish our guys when they do stumble so as not to be seen as hypocrites with the Rats just waiting to pounce, while having no traction to make them do the same when one of theirs (as is an everyday occurrence with them) does something as bad or usually worse. They just don’t care, as long as it doesn’t really hurt them politically-how do you pin scum to a non-existent stand?
I really feel for the Hyde family. It would be bad enough if they never heard of the Rat shenanigans regarding the death of what was for them, a beloved family member, but the Rats have no shame in being blatant and public with their tastelessness and heartlessness. I hope the family is well insulated from the public right now.
“I hope that somehow the Hyde Amendement gets buried with him.
[How about the 50 million babies aborted who don’t even get a burial?]”....
Amen!
They truly are. By the way, where’s Bill O’Reilly? Shouldn’t he be reporting DUmmieland as a hate site? Does this NOT constitute hate? Or is that only reserved for us.
To counter the bogus claims that the Hyde amendment cost thousands of women their lives, I would offer that the law of averages is in favor of the probability that a few of the infants' whose lives were saved went on to become doctors, teachers, examples that in this greatest country on Earth there is always hope.
Peace will come to Mr. Hyde's family. Some of the DUmmies will wise up; most will not. The latter group will never know peace, and they'll blame everyone, including God, for their misery. Everyone except who is really to blame: themselves.
True. The only sins on the liberal scale are intolerance and hypocrisy. They don’t realize, that they are what they hate. The only time they believe in hell is when they want to send a good Christian there.
Very well said....here’s a ((((hug)))) to ward off the “uglies”.
Well, those NUts over there at the DUmp are great believers in karma and all that kind of thing—so they’re sowing a bumper crop of the bad kind right now that they’ll reap soon enough, supposing there’s any truth in the whole “karma” thing (not that I believe in karma, just in the Biblical principle of “reaping what you sow”).
The DUmp is particularly repulsive when someone dies.
Thanx for filling in again, Charles. BTW, these are the same DUmmies that were recently denouncing the DUmmie FUnnies as a “Hate Site.”
For me, part of the FUn of DUFU is based on my faith in the ability of people to be good, even DUmmies. These posts shake that faith.
Charles and PJ do a great job with them, and I think they are important. Inevitably, these assholes (the DUmmies, not Charles or PJ) go after Reagan, and that makes me angry. DUmmies wouldn't like me when I'm angry.
“The only time they believe in hell is when they want to send a good Christian there.”
That also highlights one of their great points of ignorance. They think that Hyde couldn’t possibly be a “good Christian” because he sinned. Ignorance abounds in Dummieland.
They love and hate for the most superficial reasons imaginable, and apply their concepts of truth and justice based on that. They are infected with a postmodern strain of the virus that afflicted everyone that ever belonged to the Ku Klux Klan. The proteins of the viral DNA chain has twisted, 180 degrees, and the hate is now directed to a different race; the film is in negative. Left is right, right is wrong.
Looking back on my liberal youth, I'll say this: It helped me overcome the racism that surrounded me where I grew up. After I had overcome that, I abandoned liberalism because I got tired of hating myself for being a white guy that wanted to do something other than sit around and bitch.
Thanks for the ping.
Followed in short order by their volcanic rage as the nation showed it's love and admiration for Ronald Reagan over the next week during the services. They were out of their minds with all the media coverage, which was shockingly positive for the most part. Even in death, the Gipper beat the DUmmies.
Nah, BOR is too busy interviewing "ALF", who got kicked off TV 17 years ago...
He still does.
One of my liberal co-workers (probably a DUmmie) couldn’t help himself during part of the Reagan funeral ceremony and made a bunch of snarky remarks. I lit into him and dressed him down good.
My very PC (female) boss overheard but pretended not to notice (the only time I’ve ever seen her do this). Later she gave me a mild scold and told me that I should “work on my communications skills” (offered with a wink)...
Media Matters has called FR a hate site for some speculation that came up on the Hillary-Care-Hostage non-news story.
Hillary’s Media Matters team won’t be likely to criticize DUh for their self-professed hate for Henry Hyde at the occasion of his death.
By way of contrast, in this DU Hyde thread of 80 posts, only ONE PERSON tried to "slap down" the gleeful graveyard rats. I want to commend that poster, DUmmie DangerDave921. I featured his one post in the DUFU; here it is again:
Hatred. I should be used to it here on DU, but it still surprises me when I read such venom and hatred when someone from the opposite side of the aisle dies. There is gleeful delight in someone's death, which always strikes me as diametrically opposed to what I've always envisioned for the Dem party - compassion, decency, and forgiveness. Even if you disagree with a person's politics, I don't see any cause to rejoice in a person's death.
Here is the other commendable post by DUmmie DangerDave921:
There's a difference between not minding someone's passing all that much (as you say) and those who take delight in someone's death, complete with wishes to burn in hell. Hyde's death does not cause me any sadness, but I don't take delight in it. No, death does not make someone a good person. Of course not. But I still don't ever find myself rejoicing when anyone dies. And I guess no one on this board would mind if some Freeper over at that site was rejoicing in the death of a Dem icon? My guess is that these very same DU folks would be decrying their hate-filled venemous posts. And they would be right.
